Little Big Planet

A week left on the european release and the NTSC one being 24th October.
I'm usually VERY modest and picky regarding games, but I must concur and say that this will be the game of the century, yes, century.

The game reviewers all over the planet gives this full pot (or next to it) and what you can achieve with this game using your creativity is simply incredible. In a world where all you see is FPS games (and I hate those), here comes a game that completly drove over all journalists and the world with the charming sackboys and with a most unique way of gameplay (and with four player co-op!). I am not usually not into praising but, people, this is THE shit!

I'll be there the 22nd, will you?

I just have to post a hilarious video from youtube,
Little Big Dance

Feel free to add my PSN if you are going to play LBP. it's "Sinnica"

I had the opportunity to play the beta and I agree 100%. It's gonna be HUGE.

It's games like these that the PS3 needs if they want to stay competitive in the console arena with their highest-of-everyone price point intact. I'm predicting a huge boom in sales towards Sony thanks to this game alone. Motorstorm 2, Resistance 2 and SOCOM 4 are the icing on the cake.

Street date being broke like crazy for this - there are at least three spots where I live that you can walk in and pick up a copy right now.

If I had gotten my first fucking paycheck this week instead of next you can damn well bet it would have been spent on a PS3 and LBP.

I thought you already had a PS3?

Either way, this right here is the best reason to take the plunge.

Nah, I nearly pulled the trigger last year - but alas, I got cold feet.

Will likely do it sometime around or after Christmas this year - need to get my bills on lockdown first.

Just to warn you, LittleBitPlanet was delayed just today for...get this: one of the music tracks from one of the levels contains a few passages from the Qur'an. I'm not joking.

New release date: November 14th

Read about it here: http://ps3.ign.com/articles/921/921009p1.html

Whoa interesting, I was gonna pick this up with Fable 2 on tuesday, but looks like I get to space out the time between this, Fale 2, and Fallout 3.

Can't think of anything else than some attack from the Xbots rating it 1.

Anyway, can't wait till I get my hands on the final version. Really enjoyed the beta and I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of levels people are able to create with a larger set of materials/objects and more time.

Lol at going to gamestop like a noob. I went this weekend to buy little big planet, walk in gamestop and all these nerds are playing the sample games and trading in games and what not.

So i make the 10 minute line in the counter and ask "can i have a copy of little big planet".. the lady proceeded to tell me it was not out yet and some kid behind me said "lol"

man i was lucky to rent it at blockbuster, i have to say this game is awesome!

There are definitely a lot of copies out there - my local game store (RSE Video Game Star - locally owned and operated, one of the coolest shops I've ever been in) never shipped their copies back.

No idea if it will land them in hot water or not - but they still had them as of today, albeit for $100 (unless you paid in full for preorder).

And did you hear copies on eBay are going for $250+?

People, the game was not cancelled, it was delayed TWO weeks. 14 days for $250? I don't think so.

Yeah - I say more power to them, though. The recall was fucking ridiculous - absolutely no reason for it, and Sony should be ashamed of themselves for doing it.

I hear it was because of ONE Muslim individual (who got the game before the street date, which already introduces a big shady factor) that this entire recall occurred.

On the one hand, it IS ridiculous, but on the other, Sony has been at the palm of bad press for I don't even know how long. I'm sure this was an attempt to try and avoid further negative reputation points, especially fresh after the Church of England got all bitchy about some random church in a level of Resistance. Sony can't seem to avoid people bitching. It's like "hey, Sony keeps losing lawsuits and giving people millions of dollars, let's join the party and start one ourselves!"

Sometimes I hate the way the world works.

I'm no PS3 expert but couldn't they just patch the game through PSN?

That's a good point, but not everybody has access to the internet, so not everybody uses the PSN.

Posted by Rodrico on Oct-24-2008 21:58:

Interesting, apparently my pre order came in today, gonna go pick it up.

Actually that's just what they chose to do. Patched it with an instrumental version of the song.

So in the end the "recall" Sony attempted turned into epic fail in the same week they forecast substantially lower revenues.

Not a good week for Sony.
