Yohan - The MegaTrance mix 2008 (8hrs of ubertrance tunage!)

It's been a while since I spun some serious trance. So yesterday, I was sick and was rather bored and inspired by rather epic performance by Ferry Corsten on Sun, I made this set.

I believe in versatility as a DJ, and in this set, I tried to cover a lot of ground. From euphoric to uplifting, techtrance to some hard(er) trance, taking bits from 2000 to today. I tried not to anthem bash either. Hopefully I was able to put together a set that's worth a look.

I, for one, WILL grab it when I get home...it's been ages since I was truly blown away by a trance set!

I'll take a grab. It's been forever since I was blown away by a trance set and the tracklist looks interesting enough for me.

and to think there is part 2 still to come

I've listened to about an hour so far (in my car periodically) and I can say the the tunes are fine for the most part and the mixing is definitely on point (reminds me of Armin's which is always on-point without many mistakes but without too much experimentation though there really isn't room for much with trance), my only gripe is the epicness. That's all it is is epic after epic after epic. There wasn't really any build into the epic either, it went in full on pretty much. Dunno if I could do another 7 hours of it, but for the one hour it was pretty fun and there were some nice sounds to be heard.

There isn't 7 hours of epic trance... I did mix in lots of harder and tech trance into this set specifically to preventing it from sounding monotone.

Oh, well in that case I might listen to it for another hour or so An hour of epic was a bit of a turnoff; too many plurgasms, not enough tranceplay.
