iPod to iTunes/Computer

My old computer is dust and all my music is on it.

That being said, I luckily have all my music on my iPod and now I am looking for a FREE way to transfer my music back to PC/iTunes.

I have googled a bit but haven't found anything good.


Any suggestions?

I'm having trouble with this too....I'm starting to think you cant transfer songs from ipod to computer....

Simply click Cancel instead, and your iPod will remain connected to your computer, but the auto-sync process will not run. So what about those situations where you are connecting your iPod to your existing iTunes library? For example if you accidentally deleted a few tracks from your main iTunes library that you want to recover from your iPod. In this case, the iTunes automatic sync will run without notification since it�s the same library database. Fortunately, iTunes offers a solution for this as well: Simply hold down the SHIFT+CTRL keys (on Windows) or CMD+OPT keys (on a Mac) while you are connecting your iPod to your computer. Keep holding these keys down until your actually see your iPod show up in the iTunes source list. This will prevent iTunes from running any kind of automatic sync when it detects the iPod, but the iPod will again remain connected and ready to work with.

Yes you can but you just have to search google

Transfer Ipod files to computer and keep looking until you found it. I found it once but I cant remember the website. Its a setting in Itunes that disables automatic upload to your Ipod right when you plug it in.

you can do that by plugging it into any different computer and clicking cancel to the pop up you get.

i remember once finding this thing on google that didn't exist so hard that the hypothetical nature of this solution was enough to make me buy an i river.

things you pay more for should be easier to troubleshoot, especially considering the majority of the people who buy this stuff do it as victims of advertising/want to have the cool toy everyone else has/omg it matches my purse yet i have no clue what it does.

they usually are the same people that think DRM is something that is in cough syrup.

BTW I have a Creative ZEN and it works a hell of alot better than my Ipod ever did. Ipods suck ass.

There are lots of programs that will 'rip' your ipod directly onto your Computer.

I only have one for a Mac so don't ask me for a Windows one.
