Mixer to pc question

i got behringer uca202 using output L/R to Channel 1 & 3 on mixer
however i can not get it to play properly in VDJ/Deckdance
the channels are assigned in one
if i use channel 1, only left side sound is working
when i use channel 3 along with 1, both side is working

do i need a maya44?
i am using creative x-fi for my speakers and uca202 for mixer
