Dutch Force - Deadline (Freesoup's Tribute Remix)
I started this idea a while back but haven't really touched it for sometime. I've got a gig coming up which I'd like to play it at so started work on it again tonight, once again its changed for the better I think but I'd like to see what you guys reckon. Be gentle!
I know that this is a remix of a classic track and to be honest I'm mostly against this sort of thing but I felt if I made it different enough to the original it might be ok.
Sorry about the clipping, I don't know why its happening at the moment.

i can hear the clipping on the swoosh effect i would look at the eq on that, maybe its too high, but on with the tune
Heavy bass intro , got a bit of ear fatigue from that lol
further on , nice sounding synth for the main lead
Not being funny , but a sub is going to put a few overtime hours in for this tune
and as much as a good tune it is , 6 mins for a sniff of a hands up moment maybe too long , for me anyways.
but i would play it , see how it goes and go from there.
This isn't the finished article so you know, I'd never play this version in a club, it still needs a lot more work, I was after some feedback with regards to the idea of it, I'm aware I can probably shift 2 mins off this version but its late and I've had to switch my monitors off.
Cheers for listening anyways and I'll bare what you've said in mind.

lol)
I'm gonna shift the break forward a bit and add a few more effects and percussion pieces so it doesn't sound like its under a constant lowpass filter, it is a bit muffled at the moment
I do have a piano line to add too but will have to work on how to bring that in without it sounding crap, possible reverse reverb.
I will update tomorrow! For now film & bed
I have updated the sample
Spent most of today on it as I had to start again, for some reason reason was flicking between 120bpm and 124 and causing the clipping, I couldn't fix it and after an hour of trying just started the project from scratch after writing down parameters, saving midi files and presets!
Anyway - Let me know your thoughts, its a lot less low pass based now but still quite dark which was the intention, sort of airwave/m.i.k.e I suppose.
Cheers
Stu
pretty good intro for a set stu. I quite like the idea.
Cheers mate, hope your well. Haven't heard from you in years!
much better.
the mix is more interesting this time and more comfortable to the ear
im still hearing clipping but a hell of a lot less than before and its also rearing its head in my productions , so if you can get rid let us know
and as previously stated , this could be a good set starter
I really like the sounds in this track. I would like to hear an increase in tempo by a few BPM. think it would add to the track imo.
hey, i just took a listen and i sounds as if you have a really good melody going there. I woulden't touch that. The only things that are lacking is effects/dynamics on the synths and more percussion.

Playing this friday at Mission at a night called for the love of house but Im in the techno room and then Im at digital society on the 14th november with Askew, Tyas, Downey & Activa. If you let me know I'll sort you a guestlist spot
hey mate,
melody is really good, like the pads and chord changes. like the use of delay. only one thing i caught, which seems like a resonance flicker throughout. and perhaps a stronger kick presence could be beneficial. intro? how about an outro :]. good work keep the trance coming.
Nice song man. In the beginning the bas sounds strange but later in the track it fid`s
I like the song. The movement is nice with the gradual changes. The only constructive comments I would have mentioned are previously posted anyway. So good luck with your tune!
