mtl on saturdays?
what club do you guys recommend for good house or electronic music on saturday in montreal?
Cherry - 417 St-Pierre street (old port)
salon daome: 141 Mont-Royal E. (between Saint-Denis & Saint-Laurent) i'd recommend salon daome...always packed with an assortment of dancers and drinkers, no fights, great range of house music (tech house, funky house, minimal, etc) and moderately priced booze.
cherry lounge: (417 Saint Pierre, Montreal QC (Old Montreal) definite safe bet if you're looking for that early to mid nineties house music clubbing experience as far as the venue and vibes go...as for music, saturdays range anywhere from underemployed ex-stereo djs to jojo flores...essentially, it's a basement club with an amazing vibe that more than makes up for the shit sound system...lots of hot women, hidden room out back...definitely a gem...although the club is REALLY FUCKIN hard to find so you will have to cab it there.
thx. do you know if opera is any good on saturdays? im trying to go to something close to st. catherines.

If you want mainstream go to Lamouche, i noticed Opera being dead for the last few months, not literaly dead, but quieter than the usual.
Diplo @ Just For Laughs.
That should be a good party too tonight.

Your best and probably only bet is Circus. It's on St.Catherine by Timothee. It opens around 3am. You should go to Salon Diome first for a warm up.
All in all there are not any decent afterhours in MTL anymore.
Good luck..
