What's a good bar downtown??
Hey guys, i know this isn't trance related but atleast it's about TO.
What's a good bar to go to downtown near the clubbing district, like around Richmond St.?
And don't say HOoters!!
I live in scarborough and I know a few bars where it's a really nice atmosphere and the ppl's good (Keg is really good one).
But what's a good one downtown?
Thanks in advance.
A good bar on Richmond? I can only think of a couple:
For patios, I like Al Frisco's (Richmond & John) and the Black Bull (Queen & Peter)
Otherwise, Milestones (across from Al Friscos) is pretty good as is.... HOOOOOOTERS! (just kidding)...hope that helps.
I don't really go here anymore.. but it's called "MY APARTMENT" and it's two dollar drinks on fridays. Really cheap if your a student.. and it get's quite busy.. two floors, and there is dancing on the upstairs floor.. open concept. Don't be shocked to find an older age group there..but there is also a younger age group as well because of the price of drinks.
Another place is called The Crockodile Rock which is good on Wednesdays. Once again... it's an older crowd.. but good vibe I guess. :P Im not really a bar person.. but those places are pretty happenning on those days!
You'd have to look these places up.. I can't remember what streets their on, but that they are downtown.
Peace

^^^^ aren't those 'cougar' bars? lol.. people on tribe always joke around about those places.
The fox and the fiddle is a good english pub. I go there to catch leaf games and the such.
Go Cougars!
If I wanna down a few cheap ones b4 going to another place I go to .Dirks. Open everynight and always free to get in. It is located right beside Slimelight and across from Crocadile Crock. Its a smalll place with a basement dance floor, pool tables and seating upstairs.
Never actually been there, but I hear the Peel Pub is pretty good
You wouldn't want to go to the peel pub if they were STILL OPEN!.. :P
They closed down about a month ago. Their still open during the day for lunch and stuff.. but lost their liquor licence! BAHAHAHA.
All because they re-used beer. yuck

RE-USE BEER?!?! OMG, how much money can you possibly save like that?!

Well, this is not really close to the club district, but it is fairly close to the Guvernment for nights when you plan to go there. C'est What on 67 Front Street E. (Church and Front) is a pretty cool place with a nice vibe, though not particularly cheap. You could then walk to the Guv in 5-10 minutes from there.
Whatever
Whatever... whoever said it's about cracked out junglists at Audiowerks....???!!! HAHAHAHA! Whatever. Seems like there's some other motivation behind these bogus accusations.
I hate it when people try to stereotype something when they don't even know what they're talking about in the first place.
Audiowerks on Friday nights is 19+ and mostly trance with techno, booty & breaks.
Every place that has been suggested is complete GARBAGE as far as the music is concerned..... if you want half decent tunes you should definitely check Audiowerks out on Fridays..... and you can't beat FREE cover on Fridays anywhere in Toronto... especially for the quality of music.
If you don't want to be dry-heaving to the music then don;t follow these people's advice.
Peace
