Max Graham

Smiley DJ exxxxcellent

I'm definitely up for this one. I've never seen Oakenfold live and in my opinion, he's a top 5 dj. I would have gone to see him when he was here recently but Mississauga is too far for me.

Hopefully the ticket prices are reasonable...

oakey is kinda drab live. I've seen him before. His mixing is usually pretty good, and his track selection is well... depends on what you like I guess. I liked his sets from 98-00 a lot better then his stuff now, i'm sure there are people that like his current stuff better. I've never seen max, apparently he brings real life to the sets. can't wait to see him!

he is all about breakz nowdays! I am sure that's what he'll be playing! I guess he got dissed too much as a trance DJ's, so he is kind of switching stylez now!

Oakey isn't the same anymore, I've heard he was caught playing mixed cds on several ocasions, not sure how true it is though

Tickets on sale...

Picked up early bird tickets on Monday from ticketmaster at Sunrise Records on Yonge. If you're lucky some will still be available. I think there was still 50 E.B. avaialble. I paid $30 + $3.75 (T.M. charge) each. I'd rather pay that price for PvD instead of Oakenfold but it should still be a decent party.

Lates...

This should be good.... i'll be there for sure!...Just curious to know though...is this just in the Guv or are they gonna open the whole thing up for this event???

Damn right, babe...

why is it every fucken time Oakie comes somewhere he charges so much at hershey centre it was 55 bucks now he wants 35 + tax which is 37.50. he is a good dj, but he charges too much for wat he can really offer i dunno if ill go to see him, the price is the concern im thinking about, is it worth it or not? coz if i go to Guv, i will definately not dance at all, and this way its just better to pay 10 bucks for spin saturdays, were u can chill, but 37 bucks? hmmm dunno if thats worth it...

Posted by Crazy Serb on Jun-10-2002 23:13:

Remember that you are not paying for Oakie himself, but for Max Graham too!

Now, $35 for a party like that seems just fine with me, since Oakie's fees are enormous, and this price is more than affordable...

ya i know man its with Max Graham but why so much just for them? while u can go see, like suppose the Victoria Day weekend that event that happened, 25 bucks for 9 dj's do u see the difference? i mean were only paying so much for Oakie and Max, coz Oakie is the most popular dj on this planet...anyways im not saying its too expensive, just asking why so much for Oakie? i rather pay 40 bucks, and go 2 nights straight to system lol ah well

Posted by Abbas on Jun-11-2002 14:22:

I think they both like to charge alot!

Last new year's I saw Max @ Systems and that ticket was for $65, I know it was new year's and all, but there was nothing special with the ticket
