The Posting From Work, But It's Nearly Useless b/c Hosting Sites Are Blocked Alliance

Anyone else here browse the "alternate universe" of TA, in which you can hardly download anything people post (sets, tracks, etc.) because all of the hosting sites are blocked (Megaupload, SendSpace, etc.). This is the TA universe which hardly contains any pictures because PhotoBucket/Imageshack and the like are blocked.

You really become pretty decent at predicting wtf is going on in a thread, but it's incredibly annoying when half of TA is pics over text anyway.

Most of my TA-ing is during my downtime at work. I have other things I'd rather do during the late afternoon/night (not that I never post from home).

I work in IT, but all of these things are blocked at our corporate office in San Diego.

I miss out on a lot of lulz because of this, I think. I try to download sets, etc. from home so I can listen to them here, but I don't always remember.

And dude, you know your way around computers. setup a crappy p2 box that runs linux and use it as an ssh tunnel so you can view whatever you want!

I'm in the TA university library universe where some people forget to post NSFW in front of their NSFW posts.

Ironically, YouTube is a green light.

the only sites blocked at my work are MySpace, Facebook, and oddly enough... IKEA.

Nah, I'm the person in charge of taking care of the internet connection

I do disable images and style sheets when I'm browsing TA, though, for obvious reasons.

I used to have a direct Internet line from a local ISP ran straight into my office for the purpose of testing VPN connections. That was awesome. Alas, it is no longer mine.

as soon as I get the motivation to do it I'm just gonna set up another PC at home that I can remote desktop to and just quit using the connection here for browsing
