Woot woot I submitted one of my photos into a contest on picture.com and i was just informed im a semi-finalist in the International Open Amateur Photography Contest!

This is one of the oldest scams in the book. It is just like the one where people submit poetry and could win a prize as long as they buy the book that they get "published" in. (guess what no prizes).
Also if someone hands you a card on the street and wants you to model...
