Thought this might be a good idea for a thread.

EDM remixes of movie-themes, genre doesn't matter, as long as it's good music

- Van Bellen's remix is easily the best version but it bears no resemblance to the movie theme anymore

Orbital & Angelo Badalamenti - Beached
- The Beach
- soundtrack cd edit, full version on single is about 1:15 longer

Cygnus X - The Orange Theme (Man With No Name Remix) or whichever remix/remake one prefers
- Clockwork Orange (based on an ooold original piece composed by Henry Purcell centuries before the movie)

Mark Snow - X-Files (UNKLE Variation On A Theme: Surrender Sounds Session #10)
- X-Files: I Want To Believe

Enigma's take under their TAAW guise on Moroder's Chase theme from the movie Midnight Express is one of the few versions i like along with Moroder's original. There is also an extended mix but not on youtube it seems.

Can't say I liked Protect Your Mind at all, Beached on the other hand is a mighty fine piece of work. The bassline is minblowing!

Too bad the released version of the Rock theme (Ozone - Rock) is much weaker than the original version (Airbase - Theme From The Rock) which did the rounds as mp3 long before it ended up getting a release.

I took a quick glimpse and all I could see was a few compilations from '06 that had it, just wondering since there isn't a lot of psy this side of 2000 that I've enjoyed as much.

Maybe not what you would call a real remix but in my mind First State - Sierra Nevada could very well be a remix of the Lovers theme from the soundtrack to The House of Flying Daggers.
