Look what I made for dinner tonight

I took a nice fat chicken breast and carefully made a nice big pocket out of it (no leaks!). I proceeded to stuff it with smoked ham, Swiss Emmental cheese, fresh Parmesan cheese and white mushrooms sauteed in butter. I then breaded it throughout and fried it in olive oil for about 6 minutes on each side, followed by another 10 to 15 minutes in the oven.

The result was incredible.

Yep. I feel like chicken tonight, like chicken tonight.

Posted by elFreak on Oct-26-2008 02:35:

looks ok, if you do not want it to get burnt like it did do not use olive oil. Frying with it is not a very good idea and it will taste better with canola or peanut oil.

also...cordon bleu style chicken needs a sauce lonely man

Yea I thought so. I'll probably come up with something next time. I figure this was pretty good for my first attempt.

Posted by elFreak on Oct-26-2008 03:45:

flower + butter + cream + fresh herbs = anal

for a first attempt it is good, taking it to the next step is not too hard

Fucking blocked coronary and a half though

Posted by elFreak on Oct-26-2008 04:58:

that looks delicious
i thought there were pickles inside or something though

I'm making salmon tomorrow for the family
I was just going to go lazy with garlic powder and a blend of greek spices and fry it in flour and egg.

I am very open to suggestions on how to make it more exciting

any tips anyone?

Salmon really shouldn't - It's a pretty fleshy/firm type of fish.

Please don't fry it, that's just wrong.
