Some updated Alex Stealthy info, and free music...
First of all, if you head over to his site, alexstealthy.net, you can find for free download a good number of tracks produced under his Alex Stealthy alias, and I believe all of the tracks produced under Alexey V (including what I believe is his unreleased artist album) available as streams.
That said, this is really for fans and people who generally followed his productions. He posted a blog regarding his decision to stop producing (or so it seems). Basically, it revolves around him getting the shaft from various labels:

| Hi all I don't write here often, but trust me I have reasons for doing it. As far as I know my main audience is placed out of Russia, so this letter is for you, guys. Reasons of writing it are really simple, partly it will describe why I left scene. There are no guilties, but hopefully it will make change someone's mind about what is going on behind the scenes. All what I will describe doesn't mean the rule, it has only my stories, wich are not deadly, but stink not good, trust me. My only fault was I fully trusted people I worked with and had no doubts. I am not going to blame anyone, but don't ask me now for a good attidude. Also I don't connect my musical future with dance scene anymore, so everyone I don't care what you will think of me after this letter, also I don't really care what will be after this letter. But I just feel I need to write it as I see it. First label I worked with was SOG Records. I can't say any bad word about them, really. They were good enough. One of the label, who were not afraid to pay advances. But this "but's" are everywhere-there were some cases when I my doubts appeared. First case, was the release of "Once". By contracts, then on words, it was planned to be on vynil. I asked Rost(from Delikate Imposters) to do remix. They've done two versions. But suddenly SOG rejected the vynil release, instead they've put it on their own cd. It was released as a second cd of their compilation. I saw no good reason for it, specially after this track was taken by Nick Warren on GU, but I agreed on it. I asked Rost to do a special cover for the cd(not for free of course). Here began some problems, because how SOG acted with him made me doubt more. I hope he was paid. The true mind blowing story begen with Tiesto compilation. Because I really don't understand what is THE TRUE story about this. I was partly paid, partly means not even half, if to be absolutely honest I have no information at all how much I earned (almost 2 years passed after). I am absolutely lost, where my money are. Contract says one thing, reality another. I heard many explanations from sog, but they all seemed to contradict each other. The funniest thing was, how after my e-mail to Cloud 9 Music, with the attatched signed copy of the contract, they've anyway tried, even knowing I have a contract with SOG's company Raintemple on the track "Something is Wrong", to get Tiesto's money from Publisher(Sherlock-Holmes Music). Second(Cloud 9), they've lost my e-mail(so they've explained they don't send statements) and after I've send invoice, ignor my questions, where the hell my 321 euro's are(big summ, really, for waiting forver). Guys, you all, those who lead business, I really want to get a clue, do you act so only with me or is it a new word in leading businesses? No offences, just trying to figure it out. The absolutely redicioulus story was with nascent recordings, who gave away my track to compilations, without paying, without leting me know(they still did not release it, hallo, nascent, it's my a gift to ya). They've asked Steve May to do a remix, when he was done and asked for payment, they've rejected it, explaining it as they didn't like it. Guys, are you kids? You can't change your mind twice a day. Before the payment you like it, after someone asks payment you dislike it. I doubt, because I heard many funny stories from my natives, how you suddenly forget about artists, think out thousand reasons for loosing e-mails, phones, contacts, contracts, names. So may be you take my natives as second-sort artists? Then write about it in a contract("free working-job" or something like this). I read 20 times each contract, found nothing about it. So why you act so? I have my own guess about it. Probably you think, you will forever get a free-working-guys, who are just happy to get a release? The same can be written about "so called dj-stars on the scene". Ok, this letter is just the beginning. And I am not going to sorry and appologize. You all had two years to avoide this. I can go on, go on and i will. It's only the beginning. Hope you will find a better application for my money then me. But trust me, you killed everything you could. From dj's to label. You killed scene with your own hands. |
Man that sucks. The kid had talent.
TBH though, he can probally just release the stuff himself now.
His name is known enough if he makes it onto one other big compilation he is bound to get more followers, hopefully that should inspire him to stick with him music. Our Universe fucking rocked so hard.
The Kaleidoskope EP. & From Russia With Love
Absolute QUALITY!
fuck, i loved his stuff
This kind of stuff happens so much in the dance scene. You know who's also a really a dick? That guy from Starview Recordings (lost his name right now). I introduced Leonid Rudenko to him, he then had a massive release with Summerfish. As a thank you, he would give me some records, but they never came and suddenly no email contact at all..
It also seems that he tried to rob Leonid from his money... but i have no full insight to that story.
we should make a blacklist with non paying labels and persons in the industry
cheers
Miikka Lienenon (spelling well wrong, lol) already started a thread trying that.
Unbelievable
One can get to be on ISOS and still get screwed by labels
