Juno Reactor
So Juno Reactor will be here at 30 of October and I since I am not in touch so much with what they made through the years, can someone tell me what to expect? There are going to make a live colaboration with an ethnic singer here which sounds interesting but still I want to know what to expect from them now, what music they play etc.
Thank you in advance hehe!
I assume you've heard Gods & Monsters? Expect a lot of unique instruments and orchestral arrangements.
Juno Reactor is amazing - although I thought the new album was average at best
I'm seeing them on the 28th.
You should come to Australia
juno reactor
electric universe, sesto sento... tons of other goodies.

One word that justifies a juno reactor gig..
PISTOLERO!!
I heard their show at Fullmoon Festival was rather dull.
Anyone who saw them there and can confirm?

Magadansky, if Juno Reactor will be playing with its full complement then it will be amazing live show with live guitars, percussions and vocals. Saw them this spring and I want to tell that it was the best live performance I've ever seen! Hundred times better than their videos that I've seen before.
About their music.... hm.... first of all it's tribal trance, but their music is so manifold that it can't be described with few words... Juno Reactor tracks have a strong ethnic influence, it's coctail that contains a lot of musical genres - trance, ethnic, ambient, soundtrack, dub, trip-hop,... Definitely it deserves to be heard.
I guess I have to look for this album, sounds intriguing!
Thanks for all for the comments, I think I will go although is a little too expensive imo but oh well.
I'd love to see Juno Reactor live, simply for the sheer magnitude of the show.
It's be cool if you remember to post a review after the show if you have some time.
I haven't heard much from them, but I enjoyed their work for The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions soundtracks.
what comes to mind is one of the best openings i ever heard in a track:
juno reactor - mars
if the first 2mins on that one lasted 8 minutes it could be favorit track ever
Juno Reactor put on the best live show I've ever seen, bar none... but this was back in 2001 or 2002 when they were touring with Amampondo and Medicine Drum in support of Shango. From what I know, things have gone even more concert-oriented since then. In other words, do NOT expect a set of dance music. There will be vocalists, real instruments, wild costumes, a sense of theatre, etc. They probably won't play any classic tunes aside from Pistolero. I think what they do is awesome but you really have to get out of the EDM mindset to appreciate Juno Reactor these days...
As for the new album? I don't think it hits the mark but you have to hand it to Watkins; he continues to incorporate wildly disparate styles into his own personal vision of music.
