2008 NBA Pre-Season Thread

did anybody see the first Rockets preseason game last night with the Grizz? What's up with Yao's unpredictable shot? That was classic!

This season looks interesting.

Howard's marijuana use couldn't be any more entertaining either.

Who cares? It's basketball....

Houston looks really good this year. They'll be the #1 seed barring any major injuries or Artest going nutzo.

I'm praying nothing happens to Artest this season like it did last. I'm glad to see Ming stepping it up after being out the whole year last year too. That boy hit major points in last nights game.

Dirk Nowinski, on the other hand, was on fire last night. Props to that guy and that unbelievable 7-foot lay-up all over T-Mac.

As long as I can fill in the gaps for Steve's ghey threads that have lately been the highlight of this community, I think we'll be in good shape. Thanks for input though Dirk.

Now go put that hand in a blender and show those halloween kids the real thing.

Speaking of filling in gaps, how's your mom feeling today? A little sore?

Clutch City!

T'was teh ghey seeing Iverson leave and go to the Pistons, Billups going back home to the Nuggets with McDiess. But hey.....

a $20 million FINAL-YEAR contract will out-do any team opposing a trade off such as that of Iverson's value, let alone the guy is already said to pull averages of 27 points a game and 7 assists (I think 7 is low considering Iverson's previous records with the 76ers - what was that again? 18 averaged points the first two or three games of his career and something like 6 assists?). He's without doubt staying as a #1 Fantasy option too.

This is primarily why I started an NBA thread. This season the NBA has really stepped it up with the drafts and the trades. It's definitely going to be one season to keep an eye on. I'm even syncing that shit daily on my ipod

Aaaaand, the Rockets with 4 wins already is a good start. But, you know who we really need right now man? Fckn Mutombo. 'nuff said.

Not sure which Rockets team your watching but they are currently 3-0. Going to tonight's game vs the Celts, hopefully they pull of a W.
