Losing your Poppy - Personal Best
So I probably go through at least 6 Poppies each and every year (although there have been years where I went into double digits) so it came as no surprise this morning when I looked down and it was gone.
However, I did set my personal best time this morning...less than 1 mintue.
I walked out of the St. Lawrence Market and bought one and attached it to my hoody. I proceeded to walk across the street and as I got inside the south building I thought to myself "self, you should attach that Poppy better before you lose it already". When I looked down it was gone, vanished, adios, farewell...all in less than one minute.
Finished shopping and bought another one on my way out.
i usually donate money and get one, but i never wear them cuz i ALWAYS poke myself with the needle... never fails.
Place needle through shirt.
Place needle through tiny piece of actual side of poppy.
Never lose a poppy.

Try bending the tip...
I hope everyone is wearing one.........
Weave it twice through your cloth, instead of once. This will help it not fall out.
for the pin thing, attach a small piece of rubber or eraser, after you insert the poppy and needle is not showing outside the cloth
Lest we forget
they should really make them more like a those flag pins.
maybe i should go into business for this.
(also the more you lose the more you have to replace and donate to the vets)
Oh I always used to lose mine, too. I started putting the back of an earring up on the pin + bending it = pretty secure.
I get mine for free by following Jay every year.
after putting it through the back wrap a piece of tape around the pointy end like six or seven times.
That way it cant get back through the hole and you wont ever poke yourself.

Disappointed that not a lot of people are wearing poppies...
Seems that as years go by, more people dont care.
