How was your Halloween traffic?
That was such a major hassle! First time I got to my event@King King late...and I had a guestlist of 22 pages, so I had to run towards the club and got there around 1030pm! Hollywood was just stupid and I had to park at Cahuenga and 101
And they closed Hollywood Blvd itself!
INCOGNITO@King King started "happening" around 1230 to 1am, something thats never happened before! At the end of the night, we were packed, but that was still a very late crowd for us
We have another event Nov 7 for GET DOWN with one of the Pioneers of Soulful House, UK's ANDY WARD of SOUL CENTRAL + JUSTIN MICHAEL(formerly of Red) + DJ LOU + the returning DJ SOL (formerly the resident of Giant and King King on Saturdays), hopefully, it all goes back to normal!
Yep...that's Halloween traffic combined with Friday night traffic. Hollywood is always closed from Highland to Gower.
I went to the Weho Carnival. Took a cab from Toluca Lake and got droped off right at La Cienega and Santa Monica. So had no problem getting there. Getting back was a different story. Had 8 people in my group. 4 of them caught a cab right away a few blocks from the event around 11:30. There were a few cabs there so figured it wouldn't be a problem, Boy was I wrong. The other ones were full so we waited. No more came. Figured we'd walk futher down the street for a better shot a getting one. Couldn't flag down an empty one. Walked up to bar at a few blocks a way that looked like a good spot. No cabs. Called City Cab to order one. On hold for 20 mins. So we just dicided to start walking towards Sunset. Gotta get one there right? Flag down 3 empty cabs that refused to take us to Toluca Lake, even when we offered extra money! We're just talking fucking City Walk here people! Long story short, calling City Cab turned out to be useless, and we got turned down by another cabby. By the time we got one it was after fucking 2am and we had walked from Robertson & Santa Monica to Sunset & almost La Brea!!!! I knew it would be a tough night getting around, but that was a fucking joke. LA cabbies are total dicks.

took metro, got to avalon in about 15-20 mins
Halloween traffic was a nightmare from what I heard. My neice mentioned that even at 2:00am the traffic on the 101 frwy had stopped moving.
I had no problems what so ever getting around where I was at, no traffic at all! I stayed home that night.
yeah, tried to hit up Vanguard. Man that was stupid. And the people I was with were stupid for trying even after all the phone calls indicating that we're NOT GETTING IN!!!
