$40...insane price
i have a really quick question, i found a card which is pretty much the same as the other one i posted but its 20$ cheaper, it still requires two 6pin PCI-e but i see that the video card includes a Molex to 6-pin PCI cable. Can i just use that instead of buying a new PSU?
also should i get a CPU fan or heatsink?
I'd go with a Radeon 4850 and a dual core instead.
And yes you can use the adapter, but if your PSU is that old it might be a good idea to buy a new one.

Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Wolfdale 3.0GHz
GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3P
G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400)
GIGABYTE GV-R485MC-1GH Radeon HD 4850 1GB
Western Digital Caviar Green WD6400AACS 640GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s
total will be $630.99 after rebates and shipping
Final thoughts?

I have 24 inch Dell so I will be seeing the full potential of the setup
What kind of cooling solution do you have in mind?
I don't know, but definitely make sure to get enough fans for the case, and don't use the stock heatsink that comes with CPU.
well i put in an order last night and added a heatsink to my purchase. newegg said they shipped it today so hopefully i can get it on friday
One more tip..If your heatsink doesn't have thermal compound on it already, get some arctic silver 5. And make sure you only apply a PAPER THIN layer to the CPU before putting the heatsink on. Most new builders make a mistake by smearing it on. I use a razor blade to get a perfectly thin layer and it works great. If you need some AS5, here ya go:

Final tip..Make sure you have both intake and exhaust fans on your case. Most cases just have a fan on the rear. If you want to overclock, you need at least one good 120mm on the front to pull the air through faster and keep things cool.
