So did you vote?

Did you?

First time

Posted by Travis Nicol on Nov-04-2008 20:01:

about to head out right now to do it.

Posted by Nerologic on Nov-04-2008 20:04:

Obama already won so that is all that i really care about. I would have voted no on 8, but even people that want to allow gay marriage voted "yes" because they thought "yes let them marry" instead of reading the ballot and understanding the prop...

EDIT:

I ended up voting, a family member called me and told me i was on the list and registered so i went out and helped out Obama

I'm so mad at myself. I registered to vote on the very last day (I think it was Oct 20 or Oct 24)... and I didn't make the deadline.

I'm so ashamed of myself for this. I really wanted to vote this time.

Yep. Sad but true. I'm a registered AZ voter now so I didn't even get to vote on 8. I say didn't cause I voted about 2 weeks ago with an absentee ballot since I don't actually live in AZ yet.

of course i did. and voted for change.

Hell yeah I voted! Took a few minutes out of my morning to preserve my right to complain about the government later

i was pleasantly surprised to find out our county is still using paper ballots instead of those shady e-voting computers. also there was no line!

Posted by toolman667 on Nov-04-2008 22:43:

Yep, no line at my polling place either, although I did go at 8am when they opened.

Obama FTW!

No on 8!

Posted by oneloveinfinity on Nov-04-2008 23:15:

Yup I got my vote on!

Posted by alan on Nov-04-2008 23:28:

i voted electronically. was fine for me.

Posted by DJ IDeaL on Nov-05-2008 00:04:

i wonder if there was a poll 4 years ago on TA - it'd be interesting to see how many went out then and now..

Posted by DjWoody on Nov-05-2008 00:30:

Voted! My first time too!

Posted by DjWoody on Nov-05-2008 00:32:

When I showed up to my polling station I asked the guy why was there two lines? My line was short, and there was a longer one. He said that the other line was for people who didn't register to vote or need to verify information.

hmmm interesting.

the issue isn't whether or not you faced problems casting your vote in the booth, it's how the data is handled after the fact, how the count can't be verified, the susceptibility of the database and software to manipulation, the political interests of the 3 private companies that make the machines, the felons that work for these companies, the history of fraudulence, the secrecy of how the machines work and also the high cost and low benefit of the entire e-voting system compared to the tried and tested paper ballot... voter fraud has never been easier:

And that might be the (scary) reason that Obama could loose.

If a lot of people think this, while the republicans are scared into voting because they are behind, then the dems could loose.

Alan, I feel your pain - wish I could have voted, hopefully next time.....

As of 4:50pm, McCain has 8 Electoral Votes and Obama only 3.

Well look at the states that he won. I never really thought Obama was pulling off South Carolina
