forget that
a lady at work already did her Christmas shopping last weekend

I drove by some place in the country yesterday during the day. They had a huge sign with the lettering lit up saying "MERRY CHRISTMAS!" and all these Christmas decorations all over the place, with huge lit up Reindeer lol. I think it's some farm place that sells Christmas Trees, but yeah, it's a little early haha.

I know a lot of people who do their Xmas shopping in like September/October.

It's a lot easier to get it out of the way early so you don't have to go to the malls when it is absolutely mayhem!

Don't make fun of people because they are more organized and prepared than you :P

lol what
you can't buy presents this early, unless it's for kids
I usually take a month or two to "investigate" what my close friends might want for Christmas, so there is nothing to buy this early

Well buying for the kids is important no?

Isn't it better to buy the hottest toy now, instead of waiting until the end of Nov, beginning of Dec. to look for it when they are potentially sold out.

Jingle all the Way is still one of my favourite Xmas movies! Arnold FTW!

that's what i'm saying lol
none of my friends have kids, soooo it only makes sense for busy mommys and daddys

What is "this" early? Christmas is next month.
I start when I see something that I know someone will like or wants but wont buy it themselves. I avoid the mall 2 weeks before Christmas unless I REAAALLLYYY need something.

I just received a phone call informing me that we need to wear our christmas scarves to work starting tomorrow

They will be pushing even harder this year, due to more than likely lower consumer demand. They know people are loosing jobs, and tightening their belts, and will try and steal what ever business possible.

IMO the after Christmas deals are just going to be amazing. Giant LCD Tv anybody?

All I have to say is...Black Friday!!

But yeah, they have already predicted that overall xmas revenue will be down about 30%. That is quite a significant amount.

Retailers are going to be slashing their prices this xmas to drive and drive up the demand for their goods.

Except some good sales, and even better Boxing day sales!
