Vibrasphere - Lungs of Life (CD)

quote:
Vibrasphere's 5th studio album coming soon...

A decade in any music industry is no mean feat in any style of music - but in electronic music, it's a proverbial lifetime. Few acts can claim this feat at all, let alone claim ten years of success - but in the European summer this year, that is what Sweden's Vibrasphere have accomplished.

With their fifth and new album 'Lungs of Life' on Tribal Vision, Rickard Berlglof and Robert Eslter promise a maturation of their diverse sound and another step forward for this dynamic production duo.

The album features brand new studio material, from downtempo to progressive, techno and trance, including a very special collaboration with infamous Swedish project Ticon. There are also two exclusive remixes included - one by Canadian house/trance masters Glenn Morrison and Bruce Aisher and the other by French tech-house duo Solead.

Tracklist
01. Decade
02. Breathing Place
03. Ensueno (Morning Mix)
04. Waveguide

Someone tell me what these sound like, as my speakers are broken

Have not listened to the samples yet but I expect it to be massive as a followup to Autumn Lights

Awesome. The samples sound good.

Just gave the samples a spin, it sounds immense. Glad to hear the 303 playing a prominent role.

Analog Marinade is the previous ID from their live set: http://www.tranceaddict.com/forums/...threadid=493035. Monster tune!

I'm a huge Vibrasphere fan and am not too sure what to think of this, Waveguide was the only sample that caught my attention, too many remixes, and they shold've put Autumn Lights on this. That was the track of the year for me. Oh well Vibrasphere has never dissapointed me so I'm sure this album won't dissapoint either once I hear the full version.

Half of the album tracks are electroish. Their last album had already a slight electro influence, but this bring everything too far for my tastes, disappointing.

amazinggggggggggg

sounds nice for progressive stuff but not enough trancey sounding tracks for me, 'landmark' and 'seven days to daylight' were great trance tracks, i'm disappointed there's nothing like that here.

Release date looks to be postponed to December.

WOW ... looking forward to this! I haven't listened to the samples yet (will be something for tomorrow after work) but I hope the tracks will be like "Autumn Lights", for me already TOTY.

Haven't heard the samples yet, but Vibrasphere is always a name I associate with quality.

Sounds really good. Def will get this one.

After having listened to the longer samples seems like the first half of the album is pretty good, the second part instead not so much.

They've pursued the progressive house/trance direction even more than they did on Exploring The Tributaries. Judging from the samples i think it sounds great. That fresh, clean Vibrasphere sound we all like is there. I'm probably gonna like this better than Exploring The Tributaries, which although nice was a slight disappointment to me.

The downbeat on track #2 sounds like most of their other downbeats, not very exciting.

I'm quite sure i heard one or two of these new tracks when i saw/heard Vibrasphere (Robert Elster) this past summer.

Cheers for that, sounding absolutely gorgeous IMO.

Definitely looking forward to this.

just listend to the samples on their site and I like what I hear. Some nice tracks on there although I don't think this will be there best work (but samples don't give away everything off course )

samples sound good, but they put too much slow tracks, please more Landmark tunes.

Vibrasphere - Decade

Posted by THE_Chris on Dec-13-2008 09:46:

Compared to Archipelago this is a huge disappointment. Exploring the Tributaries had a bit of electro influence, but there were still a few good tracks there.

Lungs of Life is just a heap of electro. Very disappointing. A few years ago (in the days of Chicken Shaker and In The Dirt), I'd have drooled over a Ticon vs. Vibrasphere track, but it sounds almost the same as every other track on this album.

Decade and Breathing Space are pretty ok, but I'll be getting them over the download stores, I certainly dont think its worth buying the CD.

Great great album!

'Ensueno' (Morning Mix) & 'Erosion' (Glenn Morrison & Bruce Aisher Remix) are my favs.
