They dont make 'em like that any more.

my first bid is:-

Mandrake - Universal Soul

aside from all the 'it sounds too old' crap ,its truely saddening that they dont make them like this anymore.

This track reminds me of some of Technikal's new stuff :P

I didnt like this track in particular, but i see where u going at.

Hysterix - Talk to Me (Sasha's full master mix)

Brilliant!

The Future Sound of London - Papa New Guinea

My votes:-

Jacob & Mendez - Sun & Rain
Transa - Enervate
Art of Trance - Blue Owl
Three n' One - Reflect
Future Breeze - Why don't you dance with me
Mind to Mind - Music is my life
Chakra - Home

Simple melodies and production, so effective.

Posted by JonDC on Nov-10-2008 13:36:

Space Menouverers - Stage One (Solarstone remix)
Tilt - I dream (Ressurection mix)

regular trance doesn't sound as busy as these tracks any more (if you know what I mean). There always loads of interesting stuff going on throughout. You have to look mainly to prog psy to find anything thats classy and intellient, but still uplifting imo, but its never quite the same

This one because it was so different from the rest back then (fast, but I like the how the melody sounds, going up and down):

Formic Acid - Eternia

One of my favorite tracks ever.

I'd like to put this 4th Measure Men track in here, but they actually DO still make stuff like this...I'll leave this here anyway.

POB - Bluebottle

Is there anywhere i can by a CD with all the mixes? (Original and The Digital Blonde Remix at least)

I kind of really need it............now!

no. the cd release is really fucking rare. i had to buy a turntable and the vinyl release to get the tunes, not cheap.

Just broke my head trying to figure out what sounded so familiar..... but I found it.
I guess SM Trax heard this one too, listen at 1:50

SM Trax-Got the groove

You probably would have liked the iT in Amsterdam. They had some nice compilations from 1994 - 1999. Check this site to listen (click the albums):

Early Chicane...

Although, I can't even tell anymore. Maybe they do make them like that nowadays and I'm just more cynical...

Future Sound of London.

And other producers of those lush early to mid '90s sounds.

It was that terrible that it even reached #1 on the Billboard Dance Charts in the States and became a dance anthem on radio stations and clubs all across the country.

So I guess SM-Trax didn't Show You Something Special in a club around 1998

Just good memories over here...

I know there's a lot of shitty songs that people posted (i'm assuming, i havn't listend to any but the first....

but this is MY favorite trance song.... and i think that the simplicity of the song makes it even more spectacular...
