A lot of people are jumping over to the Dubstep bandwagon, but I think ^that will be the next big genre

INK 00 is the owner of Dragonfly same owner then the Guvernment, same owner then This is London... It's easy when you say to a DJ I'll give you 3 nights a year but you have to play Niagra Falls also!
Montreal scene is good, not has strong has it was but for the size of the city it's great!
I've been to Dragonfly, you can fit way more people at Circus then Dragonfly!

1- Good for you, but if you're going to be condescending (or at least perceivably narcissistic), I'm going to have have to request your official copy of the bandwagon time line.

2- I've yet to run into any Dubstep in Montreal... doesn't that run with the theme of this thread?

Posted by Alex on Nov-11-2008 08:42:

Just shut Circus and Tribe down and let this city's scene either die or start over.

dubstep nights will happen when young dj's start playing it and inquire about booking names for themselves.

I would not be surprised to see piknik pic up on it.

My point was the dubstep bandwagoning is over, well, over for the Europe. Except for Komodo Dubs, Sub Syndicate and the Dubstep Experiment, there has been no massive interest in the genre in Montreal. If it was to happen, it wouldn't be a huge bandwagoning, since Ninja Tune and Piknik and Mutek have been showcasing the genre already.
