International parties

I want to check out the international trance scene (tired of partying in North America). Is there a good website that lists all the big parties like Trance Energy, Creamfields, Sensation White, etc? Better yet, where should I go?

Global Gathering
Dance Valley

As for a website that lists all of them.. never heard of one.

Dance Valley
Sensation White (quite commercial now, but an experience none the less)
Extrema!!!!
And if you can...SEE DAFT PUNK...or anything at the Heineken Music Hall. The place rocks.

The other thing too is that we only hear of the HUGE parties here in North America. If you go...pick a few big massives you want to go to, but leave some room for other events. July is the beginning of festival season, and there's TONS of smaller festivals that go on EVERY weekend. And by small I don't mean, just local DJs, they have a lot of big names. The party itself just isn't the size of Dance Valley. Which typical also means that fewer touristy ppl from around the world go to those, and more ppl that know the music.

If you can wait till next summer, you HAVE to hit Ibiza. All the best DJ's on one island, you're guaranteed the time of your life... trust me!

my suggestion is hit up the open air parties.. I've had the best time at those (weather permitting of course). you should also consider on whether you plan on attending a 1 day or multi-day event since trying to find accommodations can be somewhat tricky if camping isn't your thing.

trance energy is just out of this world. went to my first one in feb and cant wait to go back in '09.

Dance Valley in Spaarnwoude was the best party I've ever been to. Hands down.

from my boys who live overseas they say dance valley is great but mysteryland supposedly blows dance valley away. hoping to check one of them out next summer.

Although it's a techno event, I recommend Timewarp. Definitely the best festival I went to in my year in Europe.

Ive seen a bunch of videos from timewarp and it looks insane but the first overseas techno event i would like to get to is " I LOVE TECHNO" in belgium. hopefully next year.

Well I've only really been to one trance 'festival' per say and it was Sensation White. It was great, variety of trance with housey elements or just full on trance. Went in 04. I'd say check out Nature One in Germany from what I've heard it's NUTS.

I went to I Love Techno and preferred Timewarp WAY more.

THANKS EVERYONE! This is very helpful! I plan on doing quite a bit of travelling next year so hope to check some of these parties out.
