So is anybody going to this? I saw him in Vegas and he was pretty good. I'm thinkin bout checkin it out.

im there finally get to check out Heat

heading down from santa barbara for the evening and to check out heat for the first time.

Heat is a nice place. I liked it. A plus is 2 rooms with 2 different DJ's so the place stays full a lot longer.

I saw Sultan there a while back and he kicked ass.

can't wait

presales are up to $20 now.

How loud is Heat? I remember Ten use to ruin my hearing wondering if ear plugs r necessary

It's louder than Ten, especially if you're at the front right of the dj booth.
It's not so bad near the back, or on the mid right, underneath the speaker.

I do wish they would rearrange the speakers so they're on the left and right of the dj booth instead of both being on the right side. But, i guess the existing layout ensures its loud pretty much throughout the entire dancefloor.

I use -15db earplugs and it works fine.

The setup is because the DJ booth for every other night is in the visuals booth, since most DJs are the basic "top 40/hip hop" DJs that don't need more than two CDJs. The stage set up for Giant is a stage built at the end of the dance floor, so if it was an average "top 40" night, the speakers just face the whole dance floor.

Ah i see.. thought the dj setup was permanent.

I may make a special appearance. I was there for the opening Giant night w/ Ferry Corsten.

Kris and I might be there, still debating if we are going or not. But Heat is great, and I would like to see Robbie since I don't really remember his set from Vegas!

I saw Donald Glaude on Halloween there and he was in the back hidden from everyone.... He was still able to yell "... LETS MAKE SOME NOOIIIISE!!!" though... good times!!

LOL at Donald Glaude. The guys energy is awesome but a lil over the top imo especially for a place like Heat.

Tonight! Maybe I'll see some of you guys there, though i wouldnt be able to recognize you

I don't think you should have to pay for parking at the end of the night. At least I never have!

hey there I commented you yesterday on myspace to see if you were gonna make it. What time do you usually head out there? I have presales so im assuming it should be smooth sailing and there should be no lines.

Well being that I only live a mile from Heat we usually get there around 9:30 10ish depending on the dj.
If you park on the 3rd level in the parking garage you will be on the same level as Heat.
