ok so dont call out a noobie yet, but i want to start to produce elektronica and i was wondering what sort of equipment i would need? the very minimum would be nice. also i have reason 4 and was wondering if i could start producing with software alone?

so far i have a macbook pro, reason 4 and virtual vinyl.

basically my question is what do i need to start out?

learn the difference between dj-ing and producing, work out which one you want to do, and then come back.

dj-ing = dj booth
producing = production studio

both sections will have threads suggesting what equipment is good for beginners.
