reason help
So i've been using reason for a few years now...i've gotten pretty comfortable and thats kinda why i havn't switched.
but every time i make a song and i try to push it to it's limits, the songs just start getting messy, and i have no control over it.
are there any actual ways to keep everything from sounding distorted and bleeding into other synths? or should i just give up and switch to real software?
here's an example of it turning messy

Not sure what you mean, but the 14:2 mixer muddies things up a lot once you add in a few things.
You'll need to calculate the levels things are at, and increase/decrease the volume the things are at by whatever another way, and use the spider audio merger to merge the signals for the final source instead (don't forget you can daisy chain).

It's easy to blame the software. There is nothing keeping you from making a professional sounding mix in Reason but skill. Ever heard any Daniel Kandi track? Yeah, he uses Reason.

i cant help much bar the mix of robot thing needs a lot of work dude i can see why ur miffed. The kick is barely audible on my small stereo on very low on my sennheisers.
o what the fuck
Agreed reason is real, its not what you got but how you use it. Professionals use reason day in day and make great tracks that goes for any other piece of software, logic, cubase, renoise, ableton.
All I can advise mate is to study your track break it down to find out what is going wrong in the mix. If you have problems learn more about mixing, Eq - eventually you'll crack it.
Go to reasonstation.com and download songs from other artists there are some pro sounding tracks which you could learn from and see how they produce good results.
i listened to your sample too. it seems your samples are realy messy and unclear to start with, makes it all harder, pluss it soudns like nothing has been eqed. try finding some better drumsamples to start with, in lack of anything else ive used 909 and 808 samples ALOT!! (their nice tho)
i use the distortion pedal alot, but once i do i find it's really hard to control it....
