one night about two years ago in college, i'm out with the krew getting completely shit faced. anyway, we're at this party being total idiots, the kids who won't shut the fuck up...

for some reason we start yelling about peak oil, it was right around the time when that topic was in vogue, and my friend and i are spittin this dumb rhyme running cars on bong water and peak oil. i'm walking down the hall to the keg and this chick and her boyfriend are like looking at me funny so say i hi and the girl goes on this rant, she is mad drunk too, about how this scientist, i think his name was stan meyers, got a patent in the late 80s for an engine that ran on water mixed with gasoline, sold the design and patent to a well known oil company for one billion dollars and then died the next day. even though i was hammer drunk i remembered it.

anyone know shit about this? i'm going to spend the next couple days at the office researching it. i'll post my findings

Just be EXTREMELY careful about posting your discoveries, because people like pkcRAISTLIN will love to feast on you, like you know, some people get a lot of satisfaction out of it.

that's coz diesel_tron3000 is about as capable of doing honest research as my border collie. having said that, these are the kind of 'conspiracies' that i think DO hold water (asides from the mysterious death nonsense of course). there are many rumours about oil companies buying patents to various technologies. they're not doing anything illegal however.
