Roll Call: Dolphins vs. Bills @ Rogers Centre

I'm on the brink of buying tickets for this.....

Who's going?

And WHO has extras? (of course I'm willing to pay face value)

(I can't believe this game is going to actually mean something. lol)

Posted by Rodrico on Nov-19-2008 02:03:

if it wasnt so overpriced I would be interested, but id rather go fly to san diego and watch a chargers game instead.

It always surprises me how much faith bills fans have in their team. Its like hoping to catch a glimpse of Santa come down the chimney every Christmas night.

ps. I hope they get used to playing at the rogers centre...THE TORONTO BILLS!

No way.

I won the draw to get them (through my Argos seasons tickets) but turned them down when I found out the price.

I'm wondering what the atmosphere will be like ... but given the cost of tickets and the fact that there wont be any real tailgating here im thinking it will be kind of lame-o compared to going to a game in Buffalo.

I was thinking the same thing. Without the true home team passion being depicted by the fans, I can see the atmosphere for this game being below average.

1) There is no tailgating
2) Because there is no tailgating, it's just another normal sporting event that happens to be held in Toronto
3) There is no tailgating
4) Goddamn, tailgating in Buffalo is awesome
4a) I mean seriously, it's just that good
5) The tickets are far too much money
6) ?????
7) Profit!

after experiencing the real deal live in buffalo, and learning what kind of passion real bills fans have over the past couple years, this would be a watered down version of the real deal.

go bills, hopefully wilson lives for ever because toronto is too pussy of a city to deserve them.

I hit up the pre-season game against my Steelers and to be honest it was pretty fun. It's nice to watch real football instead of that CFL beachball bull shit.
I was actually talking to a guy in Gretzkys that worked at Heinz Field and he was absolutley shocked about how much they were charging us up here. Our cheapest seat in December is the exact same as their most expensive year round.

Ted Rogers is cashing in on everyone that goes but if you're a real NFL fan then why not, it's not all about the money sometimes.

Jeff I know you're a Dolphins fan so I'd go support your team and have fun doing it with the $20 beers.

Go Steelers!

I'm going to the carribean that weekend, so I had to sell mine. Sold 4 $325 tickets at a loss for $250 each. 9th row sidelines too

definately a rip off, im going down to Buffalo in Dec to see the bills vs patriots

Posted by jalalinator on Nov-19-2008 20:44:

every single regular season game matters and regardless the atmosphere will be intense. Dolphins and Bills two surprising teams this year and I'm most likely going to watch this game.

(Go Cowboys though..!! )

Posted by Zentac_75 on Nov-19-2008 22:12:

I'll be there for sure...

someone who actually follows the bills has to be there cheering for them and jeering the hated Dolphins SQUISH THE FISH. Im still trying to upgrade my tickets, I need to sit close enough to get inside the head of Poor man's manning(pennington) and and cookie monster (porter). I support my bills even though they shatter my hopes of seeing a playoff game year after year after year after year etc.

I'm in. Went to the pre-season game and thought it was kind of fun - I've been told this one will be way better - hope so as this is my first (regular season) NFL game. The tents that were set up around the Rogers Centre were a sad attempt at tailgating but at least it's something. I don't live to far away so that will help with the pre-game festivities.

They were short of selling out last week, so the NFL was going to blackout the game but seems some company/companies took the initiative to buy out those 1000 or so empty seats for promotional/entertainment uses.

Heading down about noon to begin the party. The tents that are being set up this afternoon look great over the parking lot just past Front Street - at least it's something. Should be fun in the snow...

Is this how it works???

Makes sense I guess.... forces people to go to the games!

Interesting to hear this though

I think I just secured a pair of VIP tickets on Kajiji for a rediculously low price... I'm crossing my fingers.

Yes, I know, I had 3 sets of 4 tickets for a 3-game stint, but I managed to sell them at a small loss early because they were overpriced. These VIPs will make up for the loss.
