Cubase 4 automation not shown?
I've just upgraded to Cubase 4 (LE) am having problems with automation being shown.
The volume lanes are there, but any other form of automation just isn't shown.
i.e. if I use the mouse to control the filter cutoff in predator while in write mode, upon playback the data is read back and the synth responds accordingly, but for some reason, no matter what I do, I can;t show the automation lane that corresponds (should be something like "filter cutoff").
Also, I can't show any automated sends or inserts for any channels. Again, I can see the changes recorded by looking at the sends section of the inspector on that particular track, but no automation lane is present.
I've tried the show all automation but it just shows volume automation lanes.
Any help greatly appreciated - this is driving me up the wall!!!
Right click and show all used automation for tracks.

Your automation should be shown right at the bottom of the midi tracks if it is anything like Cubase SX3.
If volume is showing - click the small + sign to open another automation track, then just click where it says 'volume' or 'pan', and other automation should appear - including the one that you just wrote (it should have a * at the side of it).
If you cant follow that - I will try and upload some pics later.

I'm looking at a feature comparison chart for all versions of Cubase 4 and it doesn't say anything about the number of visible automation lanes being a limitation. Without being able to look at Cubase 4 LE, it does sound pretty weird that you can't open more than one lane. Not sure what else to tell you other than what has already been suggested. If you haven't done so already, try posting this question at the Cubase forum... http://www.cubase.net
Hey guys, i dont want to start a completely new thread since my question is similar. Ok so here it is:
Why isnt the automation working for ZEBRA plugin for cubase?
I use automation for all my plugins but zebra doesnt seem to work..

Looks like I've figured out the the problem....
CUBASE LE 4 will only show one automation lane, and it does this based on priority , so if you have a volume change that will be the one you see, even if you have other parameters reading automation. You can record as much automation as you want but it will only ever show one lane at a time.
Time to give logic pro another shake then.......
