I uploaded a preview of this track the other day. I've completed the arrangement now so would love some feedback.

hey man listening to your track... perhaps the drum sounds are a bit thin and some of the sounds choosen are a bit dated? maybe on purpose i dunno.

melodies & progressions are cool dude, i do think you need to spend more time layering and picking sounds that fit together better because while this thing could be big the simplicity of a single layer sound isn't going to fair well with today's trance. just tryin to help.

Hey man thanks for listening. To be honest I agree with your analysis. Although I am trying to go for that old skool type trance track (can't seem to get past the 90's) however I agree that some of the instruments are thin, the trouble is I don't know how to fix that. I don't want make the track to busy so do you have suggestions on how to thicken it up? Perhaps add different instruments same midi notes? I dunno. This is always a problem with my tracks i.e. that final element of professionalism.

One thing I will say, I dont ever use freq analysers. I know I probably should but not sure what I should be doing with them. Also the track hasn't been mastered although not sure that will thicken anything up.

Finally listened to your track. Production is excellent, like some of the old skool sounds you got going, I'm just not mad about that vocal. Otherwise it's pretty good.

yah mastering wont' do the trick, it will just make it sound louder. analyzers are not necesarry just your ears. you should be trying to layer your leads 2-3 times(same notes) and basslines like crazy, eqing them out of each other. i do think you write some great music(which is great because a lot of peopel struggle in this area) but you need to focus on getting your sounds larger and thicker, matching tones together is no easy task and that is where you'll find yourself growing.
