Everything But The Girl - 'Single'

Tangerine Dream - 'Love On A Real Train'

GU: Reykjavik: Transition from Yunx- Thinking About Your Next Move into Planet Funk- Tightrope Artist Tale. Never get tired of that one.

Another awesome Warren transition, on GU: Paris- Cates & DPL- Living In A into Aurtas- Lonely Planet...hard to believe the title consistency is a coincidence.

dj tiesto live @ gatecrasher nec 4-12-2002
he mixes plastic boy-silver bath into leathal industry
very very smooth
another great mix is dj tiesto @ club eau 2nd aniversary party
this was when tiesto was the tiesto we all know of imo
he mixed emmanuel top-tone into mario lopez- the sound of nature (plug n play remix) then into a real straight up techno track
again the mixing was very very smooth tiesto was one of very few dj's who could pull off mixing tech-trance into trance back into techy stuff

another great mix is john askew @ asot 250
stoneface and terminal and ronski speed-incognition into duende-ilimitado (stoneface and terminal remix)
banging mix keeps the tempo and energy up the whole time

Tiesto @ Impulz; June 29th 2002

Barraka Song To The Siren(Jean Phillippe's Dirty South Mix )--> Mach 747 Invading Privately(29 Palms rmx)

on godskitchen summer trance cd 2 i think, the mix from mesh persuasion into armin sunburn was pretty sweet

Balance 005:

FortDax - Fortune Telling Fish, Curled to Suggest Home into
PQM - You Are Sleeping

Transforms the funkiness of You Are Sleeping's bass into an awesome, dark complement to the Fortdax tune.

I think my favorite sequence on 005 was The Wheel being bridged right over into Lifeformation (Infernal Machine mix) by Black Acid Pt. 1.

It was just a perfect setup, as Lifeformation kicks in at just the right time with the Wheel and Black Acid combined. Beautiful.

Magik 5

10. Chant - Sweet Images
11. Deniro - State Of Mind

Just a simple crossover and yet it fits so damn well.

John Digweed's 1995 Essential Mix.

Lighthouse Family - Ocean Drive (Blue Amazon Dub)
->
Daphne - Change (Brothers in Rhythm Remix)

A five minute harmonic overlay with a fucking key change halfway through. If anyone should ever question what John Digweed did to earn his superstar DJ status, this transition will shut them the fuck up.

Nice. Never heard this set, but I'm definitely gonna check it out. Seems like a pretty special moment.

I really liked the transition from Eric Prydz essential mix from Jim Rivers & Paolo Mojo - Ron Hardy Saiz (Eric Prydz remix) to On Spec vs. the police - Voices of Columbus. Very powerful!

Posted by TranceOwnsLol on Nov-24-2008 11:57:

There are lots, but the first thing that came to mind is a transition from Steve Lawler's 2001 Essential mix live from Passion, Coalville, UK which was a transition from Celeda - The Underground (Danny Tenaglia Remix) to Modjo - Lady (Hear Me Tonight) [Danny Tenaglia remix]

Posted by Amduscias on Nov-24-2008 15:12:

another one i love

Victor calderone live @ tribal sessions i think 2004

Most recently, I remember being impressed with Hernan Cattaneo's Feb EM:

Hernan Cattaneo and John Tonks - Anime (Rocco Dub mix) -> Anime (Rocco Main mix) -> Torro Remote - Prog 100

The way the songs keep on building upon each other, it sounds like one seamless, 15+ minute epic.

You can cry "Ableton" all you want, but this has to be among the best string of tracks on a mixed compilation, ever:

From Sasha's Fundacion NYC:

04. Beanfield Tides (feat. Bajka) (Cs Movement #1) (Carl Craig Remix)
05. Kosmas Epsilon Innocent Thoughts (Stel Remix)
06. Funk DVoid All That Matters
07. Closer Musik One, Two, Three (Ewan Pearson Remix)
08. Phonique 99 & A Half (featuring Alexander East) (I:Cube Remix)
09. Holden & Thompson Come To Me (Last Version)
10. Holden & Thompson Come To Me (Club Mix)

Specially the transitions from "Tides" into "Innocent Thoughts" and then into "All That Matters". Unreal.

What the fuck happened Sasha?
