Was anyone really expecting this to be good?

The whole thing has gone way beyond a joke.

GnR stopped being relevant 15 years ago and even before that they were awful.

It was worth the free Doctor Pepper, regardless of quality.

Bullshit. The last of the real rock n' roll bands.

Nope, Slash was their only saving grace.

Izzy was the musical brains behind the band...when he left, they went to the shitter

Wrong.

I haven't picked it up yet. GnR or Axel and the new Guns are going to have a hard time pleasing people when it takes 15 years to get an album out. I love GnR...have every album and even some tribute albums......from the songs I've heard it seems to have the old GnR sound...which is never a bad thing.

15 years to come up with a nice cover, and this was the best they could come up with:

I think "Better" is the best track on the album.

China state media blast new Guns N' Roses album

11/24/2008 7:00 AM, AP
Christopher Bodeen

A newspaper published by China's ruling Communist Party is blasting the latest Guns N' Roses album as an attack on the Chinese nation.

Delayed since recording began in 1994, "Chinese Democracy" hit stores in the U.S. on Sunday, although it is unlikely to be sold legally in China, where censors maintain tight control over films, music and publications.

In an article Monday headlined "American band releases album venomously attacking China," the Global Times said unidentified Chinese Internet users had described the album as part of a plot by some in the West to "grasp and control the world using democracy as a pawn."

The album "turns its spear point on China," the article said.

it funny how GnR gets bad press in China over this yet there was another band that put out a Chinese Democracy album prior to this.

God.

People actually like Guns & Roses?
