Great pics Robert! This was such a fun night. Just wish I had paid attention to the lineups so I could have cought more than the last track of Tyler's set, which I heard was really good, and Brian Scott. Great turnout too. Nice to see Circus packed again.

first time i'd been to circus in quite some time. so great seeing so many familiar faces that i haven't seen in such a long time. glad i caught some of bob's set and tyler's set.
much props to fei-fei, gil and swedish eagle for promoting with such an amazing vibe

Definitely a fun night though. The place was packed and I met a bunch of new people and saw a bunch of old friends. M.I.K.E.'s set was quite mellow this time around but at least he didn't play that much fluff Sean Tyas was....well, Sean Tyas.

Anyhow, posted my quick thoughts int he other thread...that someone broke cause they don't know how to post!!!

Anyhow, got there while M.I.K.E. was on. Mike is someone who always goes way beyond my expectations. Mainly because I don't see him often and you never know what direction/style he is gonna play.

That said, I was bummed his set was so trancey, and without a lot of emotion to it. It actually got kinda boring at times. He was OK, but a set to forget.

Tyas immediately lost points with me with that pjanoo remix he played at the beginning at 10-12bpm too fast. It sounded cheesy. But I guess it was to get the crowd into the music....so that can be forgiven. After that, I thought he was very generic. His progression went no where...or in terms of how Taj likes to describe how a set should be, he didn't seem to be telling any type of story. He didn't seem to mix it up at all, each track seemed to have the exact same formula, etc. This is all just IMO. Couple people I asked said he was kinda flat also. That said, not every set is gonna be a winner. I've heard him a few times now and can't really hate on his DJing abilities...just wasn't memorable Saturday night.

I wasnt really thrilled by M.I.K.E. either, I was hoping for something a bit different. Tyas is just a cool cat, so i was into it for that reason alone.

Shit. I burned them last minute and never had time check them out. I had that one all mastered with the tracks and everything and the file seems to be gone from my harddrives. So for that one I had to find the original 1 track mix, track it real fast and hope it was all good. Good to know though. Wonder if they all skip Gonna put another together before I leave with the stuff I played Sat. That room filled up for me. I had a blast
