-- Do you...
Do you...
Spin older classic records in your set or do you like to play only upfront tracks when you spin?
I like to play good music. The date of release is immaterial to me.
What he said. Strangely enough that usually means I mostly spin old material.
Go figure.
+1 on the statements above.

used to be a huge proponent of spinning only the newest stuff i could get my hands on. i always liked having my sets not sound like much anyone else's out there by playing tracks before they were caned a lot and tracks i found unique.
nevertheless, i started finding less and less material constantly coming out that i liked, so now i play just whatever the hell i want. most of the time, i can drop a 2-3 year old track and almost no one has heard it anyway, so i guess it's all good.
I love to play some older tracks. I spend much of my working day with a flash drive stuffed full of older mix sets plugged into my portable cd player. This way I've found loads of great tracks that slipped under the radar or weren't available for months later
any fool can go and download the beatport top 10
it's those that have put effort in over the years gathering up some killer tuneage that have the great sets
I like playing tracks noone has heard. I listen to sets to hear music I never heard played in new ways. If I wanted to hear a particular in-track, I'd just listen to the radio DJ's.
Whether that means old and new I don't really care.
i play what i like, whatever moves me in a certain way. thing is i don't like tracks that are glazed in "omgomgomg", i prefer tracks that have certain elements that distinguish themselves from others, some groove
