Looking for aerial photos of Toronto suburbs circa 1995
I'm having no luck with the google earth, etc., & I'm wondering if anyone has some aerial pics of the outlying areas around the GTA from 1995 or so.
Namely around Mississauga/Richmond Hill etc.
I'm looking to prove a point to someone & this would be the easiest way.
I wish I had access to the archives at U of T, but I don't.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Cheers!
I'd start with the forums (Facebook group) at spacing.ca
Ontario Govt should have arial surveys of the province across a number of years.
Try the land bureau or land census office.
try to ask the people at the toronto archives at spadina and dupont. if they don't have anythign useful there, they'll point you in the right direction.
what's the point that you're trying to prove?
That played right, investment in fringe-of-city farm land pays off in 10 years or less.
Everyone knows what these areas look like now, but put that against what they looked like 10 years ago & it drives the point home.
All I have is the aerials of my home town, K-W.
Ill take a look over here ...ill let you know later on
Thanks Bro!!

city stopped taking areas photos around 1980th... some private company took over it... so if i am not mistaking you have to pay now to get those shots.... but Toronto archive at spidina and dupont will be ur best move... give them a call...
oh also... check city of mississauga website... they have some online database with newer areal shots...
also.... toronto archives have area photos related with old toronto... some of areal photos got moved to current cities libraries.. like city of north york, Mississauga...
