Why are videos for EDM so universally crap?
I understand that for the most part budget constraints prevent doing something to all out but there are plenty of budget film-makers out there and it costs the same to make something crap as something half decent.
I mean how drugged up was the guy who storyboarded this video for Rob Searle's remix of 'The Power Of Love'
If anyone can think of a decent video then post it. The only one I can think of is Chemical Brothers - Star Guitar.

There is that music video in "its all gone pete tong" which is kinda like a most edm videos, some guy chasing some girl and he shoots her with a bow and arrow i think.. anybody remember that? lol
Why waste time on a video that's never going to get aired anyway.

Aphex Twin's Come To Daddy's infamous in its awesomeness:
Although this one's goofily weird too:
Venetian Snares can bring the awesome too:
I've always liked this one:
So bad, it's BRILLIANT!!
Practically all the big name electronic artists have good videos: The Prodigy, Chemical Brothers, Fatboy Slim, Daft Punk, Aphex Twin and so on. One of my favourites, which isn't often mentioned:

Lower budget and much older, my favourite video of all time:
why does music produced for clubs need good videos?

Among other non EDM videos the older videos like 2Unlimited, Capella, Culture Beat, Snap were not considered as crap back then. At least not by me.
Compare it to looking at an old picture or driving in a 20 year old car.
I can remember videos from e.g. Chicane and BBE which in my view were not bad at all.
But of course there also are tons videos which really are crap. The more commercial the track, the crappier the videos I guess.
Don't know about current videos. I don't watch them anymore.
gouryella - tenshi / ligaya video is pretty deeppppp
