digital point&shoot cameras
I have searched the forums and couldn't find anything related to buying digital cameras so I am asking anyone for advice
I like the sony's because of the video capability and want one that will do HD.
These are the two cameras I am consdiering:
the DSC-T700
& the DSCW300
Now,, I was wonderin gif anyone has the T-700 and know about the video mode.
I recently sold my olympus 7mp for $100 bucks, it was a underwater camera and only used it once underwater (the video was crap)
anywho... any input is appreciated !
The DSCW300 is damn nice man, I would recommend it. If you're willing to spend that money on it, you will not regret it. I hope that you realise that 13.6 MP maybe unecessary and that you can probably get something similar but save some good coin.

CANON>SONY
I've used a Sony for videos in the past and Canon's videos show up much nicer. The Sony ones always turned out really dark which is a big negative point if you're taking a lot of videos at clubs. Here's an example
Canon 5D Mk2
that is all

Any Canon model with Image stabilization.
Lots of manual functions, best lens on the market, you will get the clearest images with any of the high end models.

I'd go with this one. Nice and pocketable, and shoots at great resolutions.

| Originally posted by smuncky no, i don't bring my dslr to clubs yet. all the photos i take at clubs come from the sony dsc-600. i might bring it in one night to see what i can do with my kit lens (18-55 IS). it sucks that i really don't have money for anything else. although i might buy a 50mm prime in the next little while. |

| Originally posted by chinamon 50mm is a great lens but not for club use. the 18-55 IS is a decent lens and is quite a bit better than the older non-IS version. you dont always have to buy canon lenses to have a good lens. sigma, tamron and tokina make some great lenses. |
