WHICH TUNE MADE YOU A TRANCEADDICT??
ok ok..im a newbie to this trance lark but i know what i like...i cant really remember what tune made me get interested in trance..i think it might have been 'silence' by delirium..and i thought that was good but f**k me i love the new tune...funky chunk o`tune
anyway this new delirium tune is my new founding interest in the trance scene..how many times do u have to listen to a song before it gets a bit exessive?? 60? 70? 80 times?? well im near that stage anyway
and also thanx to tu_face for all those hours of constant tuneagement *hug* and drunkness..he keeps telling me i still aint experienced trance @ its best yet coz im yet to lose my gatecrasher virginity *smirk*
-=anyway, So what tune changed you into the trancEaddict u are today??=-
hmmm... Robert Miles - Children.
and i can listen to that 20 times a day and not get bored.. that was 3-4 years ago.. Song threshold? same with Infernal - Sunrise lol. but that don't count.. lol..
ummm the song which broke my threshold limit a long time ago is.. ATB - 9pm..
i did like it .. till threshold was burst
hmm...
trancEaddict pineapple...nice one!
*lol*
The Visions Of Shiva "Perfect Day" back in 1993, though I'm sure you won't have heard of that!
Paul van Dyk - For an Angel
Still listening to this track...never get sick of it!

Nearly everyone who knows a thing or two about trance has heard of Visions Of Shiva. I was speaking to the author of this thread who won't have heard of it. Anyway Visions Of Shiva was actually PvD and Cosmic Baby, what Cosmic Baby was best known for before "Cafe Del Mar".
yeahh me love VoS. pvd does a pretty good job with his productions under that.
mannn...the first trance tune i heard...?
.....children by miles was one i remember that...it was off some damm cd mixed with pop and dance tunes. *shivers* but at the time i didn't know it was by miles. the song was titled children but it said under the artist 'children' too. lol. so i thought it was children who made it.
umm...i dunno...i first started to listen to 'electronic' music from the old nintendo games actually. the main game i can remember lovin' the music was from mega man. heheh. god i love that series. the music was so hype!! and then i gradually moved over to REAL music...lol.
anyway, this is getting long. peace out.
<strokes imaginary beard>
Hmm, either PvD - Heaven or Lucid - Can't Help Myself (class tune!!)... what turned me to prog though was just Timo Maas

Peace

yahhh! timo.
he's hype yo. heheh.
Everytime i see one of these threads i try and remember what track reallly got me interested, and to tell you the truth i really can't remember, although i think it was definetely more of a gradual thing, i suppose if i was to choose one which sticks in my memory it'd be faithless - insomnia, or maybe robert miles - children, it was definetely that kinda sound that first got me interested.
Oh i sounded rather intellectual in that last line. lol
Anyways, peace

Ok this sucks to say, although i could take the Robert Miles - Children route as well, but...it would probably be Better Off Alone that began my relentless search for kewl trance choons. My cousin played both Miles and Deejay and told me both the songs were Miles, so i then attempted to find Better Off Alone by Robert Miles. I found the real song eventually, but was hopelessly hooked. Needless to say i have moved on but will always have a soft spot in my heart for that song...even if i can't listen to more than 20 secs of it now! peas.
maybe ascension - someone (i.e. tranceport) ugh i dont know.
yeah, infinity!!!

i cant even listen to 20 secs of that song...
peace
I heard Snap! "Rhythm is a Dancer" and 2Unlimited "The Magic Friend" at some party in the summer of 1992. I was instantly hooked, and I guess that the first "true" trance track was something like the Age of Love or the Abfahrt-tracks.
The threshold thing: the truly great ones (like Awex "It's our Future" or Caf Del Mar) can be heard from now on till doomsday without getting boring in the slightest bit, whereas the unimpressive ones barely can be heard once.
Ah good old 2unlimited , No no no no no no no no no no no no theres no lyrics.
lol
Peace
Im with SOT on this one...
Dj Jean - The Launch (kicked my ass first time I heard this choon!)
Had no idea music could be so powerful and moving... alright that sounded kinda gay but whateva...
