Trying before you Buy(ing)

I am just wondering if anyone knows of a good site/application where I can download a song to make sure ive got the right song before buying it online at beatport or similar.

I have tried buying music on Beatport and also records and didnt quite get exactly what I was after. Even after listening to the 'sample' they gave, it didnt quite cover what I was looking for.

At the moment I use soulseek and, at a last resort, limewire (yes I know its full of virus's - but im desperate)

I know its not morally right and im ripping off the industry to a certain extent, but I have burnt myself too many times buying the wrong song so I use this to make sure I am getting the right one.

Do you guys have any other software that is good for downloading singles of mixed up tracks,

eg

DJ Someone vs DJ Someone else feat Some other chick - Techno is awesome (Yet another guys dub Remix)

What downloading a song that i havnt paid for?
Last time I checked.

Maybe not in Sveedon but they are nazi's (not literally) about it here in Nth America.

If you're only using it to check you have the right track, and not as an excuse to not pay, then I don't think there's anything wrong with that. Technically illegal or at least in a gray area, but not really any different than listening to a record in a shop before buying it.

This would all be solved if beatport had full length, low-quality samples, or a needledrop sampler like other sites.

Well Soundcloud has been active for a little over a month and
I find it's the best solution for this sort of problem. Depending
on whether the artist or label is on there and have uploaded the
track (for public preview) - you can listen to the whole track in
its entirety. In addition to it being a brilliant platform for artists
to send and receive promos/feedback to and from labels, its got
a couple of other neat features.

It's still relatively new at the moment, but i expect tons of others
artists & labels will be joining the bandwagon pretty shortly.

DC... can be a bit difficult to set up if u dont know what u're doing though.. but the community on many hubs in the direct connect network is really good.. not only for edm.. filesharing in general.. Looking for the latest edm releases, its only a matter of getting on the right hubs. You'll also find certain rippers who cut new stuff before its released.. Enigma is specially active with that.

all u need is dc.
