Holiday in the Can

Hello,

Two of my mates are going to your lovely country later this month and I am considering joining them. They're booked to stay in Revelstoke for most of their time, but will spend one week at Whistler over NYE. One of them is heavily into snowboarding and the other one has only been a handful of times in his life. For them, this is without a doubt a snowboarding holiday.

Me on the other hand... I just broke up with my girlfriend and want to get my party on. I've never been snowboarding before. I hated skiing when I tried it at age 12, but I used to be into skateboarding and ice skating (I actually went ice skating about a week ago haha). What is this Revelstoke place like? Is it a bit of a bumblef*ck town? I doubt I'm going to want to spend all day every day on the snow, so I need to be sure there is sufficient parties in between.

heh I'm headed there for new years, but I'm a hardcore skier so thats why
I've heard there are 2 bars in Revelstoke, and that's about it. You may get some parties from visiting ski bums, but I wouldn't expect much more. Whistler however is more of a party place. You don't usually get the big names, but you can find trance/house in a few of the clubs with the locals and tons of travellers from around the world

I think there's basically one big club in the village and a few smaller one. Every know and then they'll get a big name, Pete Tong played there last year iirc.
