this mix deserves its own thread (calling all deep sexy funky house lovers!)
i'm not sure how familiar you guys are with Lovebirds. i have a few of his tracks which are quite good, yet i never really thought about him beyond that. i stumbled upon this mix today which is a 2 and a half hour showcase of his tunes that was broadcasted on Betalounge.com, and i'm fairly certain it's one of the best 2 and a half hours of music i've ever heard. some of the mixing is a little forced but the track selection and programming more than make up for it.
this won't be for everyone, but for those of you who share similar tastes in music as me, i think you will really enjoy this.
the entire mix is very reminiscent of Luke and Desyn circa 2006. the sweeping strings, epic piano, feel-good melodies, diva vocals, bouncy percussion, rolling basslines... it's all there, and it makes me beyond happy that there are at least a few people out there who still make this kind of stuff.

2008 has been a good year for Lovebirds, the solo project of Hamburg resident Sebastian �Basti� Doering. A handful of excellent 12"releases on Winding Road, Freerange, Buzzin Fly and Glossy was received by the global deep house and neo-disco community with open arms. If you wanna find out why artists like Tom Middleton, Jimpster, Prins Thomas or Ashley Beedle are huge Lovebirds fans check this show from January 2008. It's Lovebirds stuff all the way...lots of it still unreleased. Nice one!

hmmmmm.
It's like a Deadmau5 or Richard Durand tracklist, but with much better music. 
wow this looks amazing, their tracks are damn good.

awsome been digging these guys alot as of late, first heard about them when howells dropped The Beat Goes Boom & Avlium at Brown Alley last month after that i just had to find more. Sooo Much thanks for this!

Either the little tingly sound that comes along in this song is OLD, or it wasstolen from him or he stole it from someone because that same exact sound is in another tune i have, thing is, itsin a set a friend made so i don't know the ID, i can maybe post a sample later
