addicted to vinyl ?

How many vinyl do you have ? I have about 350 singles and about 4 albums all trance. I think this is my favrioute hobby. I don;t know why bt I love hunting through piles of records just waiting to find somthing rare. I love it when I find somthing that I've wanted for ages. I,ve been collecting for about 1 and a half years and I think I'am addicted. And when I get a credit card and start buying online I can only get worse. Do any of U suffer from this addiction ?

I got about 130 vinyls, dunno exactly and started a half year ago.
yep, I'm also always spitting through the piles of old records to be sure that I didn't mis any record. Through that I got remixes from exhale and some other old records that I missed

YES! ive only collected vinyl and dj'ed with vinyl for one month now.. and i must say ive turned into a vinyl addict.. i need my vinyl dope.. atleast once a week!

ive been collecting vynil for a little over 3 weeks and I have 75 records already... and no extra cash.

so much for enjoying the green... you know it's a serious addiction if you give up other addictions for it.

I have given up all other addictions so that I can concentrate on producing, Dj'ing, and collecting records. I'm buying about 5 new records a week so I have about 40 right now. This is starting to get REALLY expensive. Especially since 75% of them have been ordered on line from Europe.

ive got 5 crates....working on 6

so thats about 500+ records and counting


i used to buy online...but now i do all my shopping at the rek shops

LOL, yes, buying vinyl is just like crack. You know you're addicted when you have no cash and very little (or no) credit left!

With the lack of decent local stores, I'm forced to order online, mostly in UK and some in NL. I get about 15 to 20 new vinyls a month, minimum. I only have 3+ crates, but I've only been at it for about a year now (give me time!).

Now the tired old question: how to get rid of that old vinyl that you can no longer stand? Or more important: how to get rid of that vinyl with the bad mixes on it you bought by mistake? I guess that's the benefit of buying in-store (live sampling) vs. online...

I've been buying since november. I'm a bit over 100 records now. some of which i regret buying, but hey. :P

I've taken a bit of a break, cuz i'm running out of $$$. today my $1000 limit mastercard came in the mail. uh oh.. dangerous. :P i have $1500 credit total with my visa and mastercard. I must control myself or else i'm screwed!

I started in december and now I got about 160 records eh :/

Sometimes I don't buy a vinyl that I liked then I figure out that it was in fact a fucking great track, then I go back to the record store and then this vinyl was sold... this is a so bad feeling...

i hear that... my saturdays now have a habit - wake up about 2pm when the local record shop opens, head down there, and check out vynil until i'm mostly awake... and always walk away with atleast a few good records.

they think crack is addictive... try vynil. if I didnt have 25$ to spend on a saturday for 2 or 3 records, i'd be looking for something to hawk.

Just counted mine the other day and have got just about 200 now. Its too easy to buy them now though , at least you can stop yourself going into a record shop (sometimes!) but its so tempting to *just have a look* online...

I've been buying it since october last year I think, and I've got 120-140 so far. Haven't bought anything the last few months, I've been completely broke It drives me crazy, missing out on alot of great tunes

my VISA is also starting to get scary.

the thing that REALLY sucks, is i am in canada, my dollar is worth crap, and i have to ship things from far away.

just coming over the border costs me tons of money.

i got about 50 wicked trance records now, i am quitting for a little while to actually learn to spin.

Hi there. I am also a vinyljunkie. Maybe we can start a group: Vinyljunkie Anonymous. My brothers just to buy vinyl and as soon as I got an allowance I saved up so I could buy a record a month. Now I am 25 and I have about 1200 records and I have got some boxes laying around from dj pools, but do not have enough crates to store them right now. I could have got more but I have sold a lot of records because I did not like them anymore.
