its about $2.30 for premium here.

Posted by FallingMoon on Dec-06-2008 00:00:

$1.79 cheapest I've seen!

I've been filling my car up with $20 which I haven't done in ages...compared to the $40-$45 it would take before.

If this is what happens when this Country goes into a recession then I say w00t to that! haha

Posted by coolestrl on Dec-06-2008 00:06:

I find it amusing that we think $2.00 a gallon is so great, when it used to be less than a buck. Can we even remember what gas cost when Clinton was in office?

Show's how relativity works even in human psychology.

It's like $1.77 or something here. I wasn't fully empty, and it only took $13 to fill up the tank (like from a 1/4 to full). I nearly fainted.

ahahah WTF kinda car do you have? A ford fiesta?

It was 1.51 in the northern chicago burbs last week - and I filled up an Expedition for 39 bucks.

Up here in AK it is 2.3 a gallon - but we seem to shave off 5-10 cents every few days now.

Yet you fail to realize that the majority of people in the US DO remember when it was around a buck. Are you that dense to think that people don't? It is just cheap to what it had been 6 months ago. What it was 8 years go doesn't fucking matter because it was 8 years ago. Prices fluctuate and change.

And mind you, you talk about cheap bas prices, yet we have the lowest cost relative to income the world for the most part. Run along now.

This is the United States of Amnesia, afterall.

I think you missed my point:

If people are given shit to eat for long enough, then eventually sugar coated shit might actually start to sound appetizing.

Posted by Trancealot on Dec-06-2008 01:09:

I fill up my car like once a month which sounds great but MTA are there raising their rates and cutting service!

Imagine if you could use traveling to work as a tax ride off. Now that is how to get our ecomnomy running again while the gas companies make normal profits instead of whatever they feel is necessary to charge the average consumer

74.3 cents 8D

a 2007 toyota yaris

I get REALLY good gas mileage. 36 mpg - full tank gives me on average between 350-400 miles (depending on the highway/city driving ratio)

Posted by Ian on Dec-06-2008 01:21:

1.80$ a litre here for diesel.

do you have a special permit to drive that toy around?

Gas in the US isn't cheaper than elsewhere, it's just less taxed than elsewhere.
