Battle Of The Producers: TA Remix Competition

So i was basically thinking, instead of saying certain producers here are better than others how about we actually put it to the test. I think the best way we can do that is to have a remix competition.

It would be great if one of the bigger producers here would volunteer a track. But if no one would want to,i think we could hold a poll on the tracks to pick. So first thing first let me hear some opinions from you guys.

As for details i think we can sort them out as we get further.
But for now:
1)Final voting will be done by a anonymous vote so for example the names of the track will be track1, track2, track3 and people will simply vote on their favorite remix rather than name recognition or favoritism etc.
2)I think a months time should be enough for the contest, or depending on what others have to say it will be changed accordingly.
3)Suggest any rules or whatever you like in this thread.

So atm what we need is a track that we could remix.
-any producers who are willing to volunteer a track, please dont hesitate
-or if anyone has any suggestions post them up here

ah i love he old school but with out the samples from it makes for a tricky tune to remix

I think this is a great idea. The voting by doing track1, track2 to keep the votes unbiased is right on.

only good can come from this all we need now is someone willing enough to post up their track.

yes but so far the responce here has been good as the hole idea off remixing a ta track is healthy.

plus it works so well on other music web sites then why not here.

well we are still waiting for someone to let us remik their track. and it looks like a month being the amount of time allowed.

Would be cool if it was a ta with signed tracks. (icone, Lolo, etc.)

not sure how easy it is for released artists to just give their stems away: technically the stems belong to the label, don't they?

we should just get someone to submit an unreleased/unfinished track for us all to work on: it doesn't have to be release-level mastering etc since we'll all be messing with it anyway, and will work on our own mastering etc

of corse the hardist part will be finding a track we all want to remix

Hi everyone, I've seen this post and thought it would really be a nice idea, and since i know the most fun stuff to remix are vocal stuff and stuff with some distinct sounds, i am willing to offer for a remix my productions,

the first - Xetro - Abrupt interrupt,

a vocal track of mine, my lyrics, voice and everything, I'm signing it probably to 405 recordings if that's interesting anyone, and I'm sure that James (the manager) will be more than happy to have a nice remix for that, but ill need to check on that one for you,

the second - Plummet - damaged (Sagy Amir cover),

a cover i made for fun, rock-ish style, i guess this one cant be signed anywhere but it would be fun to hear stuff people will do with it..

the first track i offered is located fifth in the player on the right of my page, and the second one is the last one, you can also ask for any of the other tracks there and ill see if its possible.

Would your label be willing to make this an exclusive remix contest for TA? Like would the winner be guaranteed a release along with the original?

Ill send out an e-mail to check it, and will get back with an answer, but an answer will be in the next few days, not today, cos i dont think they work today

BTW pwange1 - I think its like 8 years or so Ive been on the production side of things..
