All I can say is WOW, what a night!! 
The club was fine, perfect amount of people: a good sized crowd but enough room to breathe and dance. The temperature was cool as well, and you gotta love that!!
The openers were playing hard (somewhat cheesy-90's style-trance) which has kinda fun because you didnt really expect it. It was a little hard for an opener (I dont think anyone explained that to them) but nonetehless we enjoyed it, and reminised about the old-school sound.
Got a chance to chill with menno before he came on. 
He is such a low-key friendly guy. He came down to the bar to have drinks with us and its was funny because there were only a handful of people who recognized that he was even standing there. hehe (good news for us!!) He was very cool and asked if we had any requests, which he def delivered for us!! <3 lol I wanted him to play Sjamaan, but f*ck if I know how to pronouce that, so I just asked him to throw in a classic tune 
ha!
He played an awesome set. Menno had mentioned earlier to me that people expect him to play "fluff" because of the podcasts, which typically a bit slower and trancier in pace...... but he said he BRINGS it during his lives sets because he understand the difference between listening at home and listening in the club. His podcats are perfect for the subway ride or at home..... but I def respect that he understands this concept, because people come to DANCE....and he did not dissapoint! <3 <3
He played tunes that made us WORK IT on the floor, and even threw in some classics
"Silence"-Niels van Gogh vs. Thomas Gold Remix...I think!
and
"carte blanche" cosmic gate remix).
I know he played Chakalaka at some point, too. (sorry you guys should know I suck at ID'ing!!!) 
anyways, great night, even better people!! Love the people in DC for making us feel so at home and joking and laughing with us all night. <3 <3 much love and I hope to see some of you guys in nyc
btw, we absolutely drank enough to kill a small army, so please omit any actions that may have occured. haha! We had a blast! Shit was hilarious, Wairimu was on FIRE and we both had such a great time!!

Kelly & Wai I can't believe I missed you, yet again!
Can't believe a fellow TA came down from NY and I didn't get to say hi! And you were hanging out with my friends too, like Marisol, Casey, Pauline, Michael, Michal, and Dwayne! I guess I was in my own little world :O I have got to start introducing myself more often! I'm just astonished that you came down all the way from NYC, and I missed NYTAs!
What makes it worse was that I was also at Ferry when he was at Pacha in Oct, and I missed you! Next time I'm up in NYC, or you're down in DC, I have got to introduce myself.
As for my review: Interesting you should mention that you thought the openers played a little too hard. The reason is that well they weren't really supposed to be the openers at all!
Steve Smooth & JJ Flores were scheduled to play at Global @ Fur for months before that night, but due to Ibiza's recent closure, they moved Glow to Fur, and combined the two parties, so we got some great Chicago House + Trance in the end
This night was awesome! I usually go by myself, but I went with 2 girl friends and had a blast!
Steve Smooth & JJ Flores kicked ass and that live drummer that was playing with them was amazing!
Menno then came on and blew my mind away!
From Chakalaka, to Beautiful Things, Silence, and Carte Blanche, he played some classic great songs.
The crowd was also very good for Fur! It tends to be smaller on Sat there but since Glow moved there, it was just the right size. Enough people to have fun but enough room to get your full groove on.
Got to take pictures with Steve Smooth & JJ Flores, and Steve Smooth was so nice he gave me a CD, after I took a picture with them!
Listened to it today, it had a few songs that they played, and some great house songs that i had heard before but didn't know the name of.
Ah ya, and I didn't realize that they stayed until the end, until I saw them trying to play drums in the back when Menno played his last song :O
The night went really well, didn't wait in line long, so I definitely look forward to more Glow nights at Fur.
P.S. Oh ya Kelly & Wai I dunno if you remember, but during Menno's encore song when Wai & Kelly were getting down, I started dancing with Wai and was stomping like mad all around! That was such a fun great moment, lol had fun with you guys even though I didn't realize who y'all were

oops! I am sure we did somethings that were laughable!! thankfully he thought it was funny. eek! lol thanks to menno for partying and smiling just as much as we were.....he is very chill!
You AND Elysse I have to meet soon!! both of you get your asses to NYC!!
looks like I missed out.
I'll be back at glow for both the BT and ATB/Acosta parties. What a way to end out the year.
