Micheal Burns - North E.P (the one with "Forwards" on it)

I'd say this is in the top 10 prog releases of all time. Anyone else feelin' this?

Fuckin' A mayte.

Nope, this one goes under such guises as Panoptic, Gazor, Blue Haze, Mic Burns etc. The 'North EP' was set to be part of a 4 EP project but ultimately between LMR's change in direction and Mic's Tinnitus issues, this never came to be.

it is good, but not that good

I liked that North EP, Forwards and Backwards were pretty solid

That's sad. I've had my share of ear problems since I started clubbing almost 10 years ago now. The trick is not to go out twice in the same weekend. Your ears always need a weeks rest minimum.

Back when Armin still played semi decent music...lol

i played forwards the other week and it went down really well
true fact

Oh yeah, this EP was excellent.

I first heard "Forwards" on G&D's "Bloom" mix cd, back when they played good music too (and existed).

One of my favorite vinyl sets. All 4 tracks are pure class.

forwards is awesome

first heard it on Gabriel & Dresden - Bloom, which is a great cd imo.

I remember my dog bit the shit outta the sleeve...buying another copy wasn't a question.

Really wish the project continued, loved that sound.

and Surface is one of my all time favs.

The Ambience and Forwards are both amazing. I haven't heard the second track on the release though. I'll hafta check it out.

Also I love a lot of Blue Haze's stuff, didn't know that was the same dude.

lol, the term "Average release" suggests that you can see tracks like these released on a daily basis.

Back when this came out there were plenty of tunes like this being released imo.

and your labeling this as an outstanding best of all time style release tells me that the nostalgic value you hold for this track might have a little to do with you holding it in such high regard.

it is a good release, but as clovis said this style of track was very par for the course when it came out

Nice tracks, but certainly not Prog Top Ten material.

Great song, I think Echofalls - Shiver (Blue Haze) mix is my favorite from Michael Burns though.
