Wink huh...

infinity> a DJ school?? there exists such a thing? you gotta be kidding!

Posted by Pointy on Mar-27-2001 07:59:

yea.. it's not an actually school like clown college =)

but there's dj tutorials in cities around the world.... there was one recently here in melbourne but i didn't go... it just teaching you the art of beat matching, mixing techniques yadiyadiyada.. think of it more as a workshop... the kinda thing that goes for 2 or 3 days!

Thumbs up

oh okay... hehe but it would still be kinda funny to see private Djing lessons (i remember, some guy from here said this girl he met on a chat was taking Djing lessons as if they were piano lessons)

"now i want you to beatmix these vinyls together for the next class.. mmmkay?"

ahhhh.. the horrors of private music lessons!

DJ lessons ... that's really sad ... kind of makes you realize how bastardized the complete concept of DJ culture has become. I have always believed that you should teach yourself how to spin because only that way you will develop a unique personal style. Not that it is very hard or anything ... I suppose it does take some natural talent but hey - if you don't have that no DJ lessons will make you anything more than a sub-par DJ at best.

Yeah holland got their first dj school..
We copied it from america

But i think practice is the main thing and try to learn what other dj's do.. dont copy it.. but "listen" to it like you never did before.. listen with a different view..
