I'm not digging the daytime thing at all..

It just isn't Resident Evil without darkness..shadows..moaning zombies..a sense of foreboding. This one looks like Gears of War.

I still say the best one ever is the RE1 remake on the Gamecube.

Ya I know what you mean bro, but times have changed and playing games like that dont appeal to casual gamers. On the other hand this looks like its going to play alot like RE4 which is great and so much fun. And I don't know if you watched all those vids but some of that shit looks scary to me but yes zombies> humans with parasites. I'm sure one day they will come back to an all zombie game if not the resident evil movie coming out soon looks bad ass!

What's so fun about enemies rushing at you, then coming to a halt two feet away from you, and wandering around aimlessly so you can blow them away? Just watching that first video, it just seems so ridiculous the way the enemies behave. Like REALLY REALLY bad AI (even though I know it's intended to be like that).

EXACTLY... There was really not much to fear in RE4. The hoard always stopped dead 5 feet away from you so you could pick them off..

not like the zombies in the RE remake..who swung, chomped, and bit your ass as soon as they got to you..

i think the best of all was biohazard/RE 1. it had the best suspense and the atmosphere. i remember that it was my first full game (i just played demos before...) and i had it in german (didnt understad shit :P). anyways my ranking of RE is:
1. 1/directors cut
2. 4
3. code veronica
4. 2
5. (the rest)

so hopefully 5 will be somewhere in the first 3

i played the demo for the xbox last week...was prety cool...almost has that geears of war feel to it without the hardcore action tho..
zombies/infected are kinda lame tho..i hate how headshots dont rlly count like they used to..

ill rent it n pass it...prolly wont end up buying it

To be honest, I'm somewhat disappointed. The game looks like a carbon copy of RE4 - straight down to the chainsaw encounter and the way the main character runs - but just set in Africa. RE4 was one of my favorite games of all time, but I was really expecting them to give this one more than just a scenery change.

i agree it just looks like they have worked on the graphics i thought the zombies were supposed to get more intelligent with each game what happened to that?

Play this with on a high end computer setup, with native HDMI 1080p setup, 5.1/7.1 surround Dolby/Dolby II Digital Sound and really after that there is nothing to comparing on a console. This game has remarkable creepy dark sound effects thus keeping on the edge of your grounds
