Delay Plugin Recommendations

So I'm trying to find a new delay plugin. To this point, I've been using mgTempoDelay -- http://mgaudio.de/modules/main.php?...oducts&lang=eng

A great plugin, but it has a few things about it I don't like. Namely a gross sounding soft clip/limiter.

I'm trying to find a new delay plugin that is as close to the one on the Access Virus as possible. Suggestions?

Sonic Timeworks delay is pretty good.

I don't see how you can say that. It doesn't look like it syncs to tempo. You have to manually enter the MS.

Well when I used it I used a delay calculator and my daw was Acid so it was a long time ago.

Those plugs are made right up the block from where I work.

Thanks, Eric, I'll look into it. Focals coming in today, btw.

Haha. no kidding. Maybe you can just roll up there and pick them up direct. The Native pack is only $400, and it includes about 4 other plugins, so its really worth it.

Be sure to let us know how you like the Focals once you get used to them.

I must be missing something with my Ti. The delay is never in sync so I never use it. It works but drifts off no matter what I do. What am I doing wrong? I'm using Cubase BTW.

As for a delay plugin, I use 3DDelays which syncs to tempo and have always have a good experience with it.

Every DAW I have tried (now sticking with Ableton) has atleast a tempo delay (ableton has a stereo filter delay which is all I need). Why would you then go and purchase a VST delay? I don't get it. Same goes for compressors etc...

decent software delays ive heard are echoboy, uad re201, psp 608

because there's a huge quality difference between those plugins.

Quality how? a delay is simply a replication of the original sound right? so wouldn't the quality of the delay be determined by the quality of the original sound? I mean, delays don't really change the sound as such, just repeat it... Perhaps i'll try a side by side comparison between my DAW's delay and one of those VSTs mentioned.

well, if a delay just repeats the exact same digital information it will sound very static. beside that complex delays like echoboy have a lot more features than just a simple delay.

Bionic Delay is a great delay plugin for really long wide feedbackish delays:

Does anyone know a delay with ADSR options? with a trigger or a gate or something that can be modified? also are there any delays with "reverse" effect on them beside that built in FM8 one?
